Edouard Julien 2B | MIN
Twins' Edouard Julien: Losing work vs. righties
Julien is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
Julien looks like he could be moving out of the strong-side platoon role at second base that he's held since receiving a call-up from Triple-A St. Paul in mid-August. He'll hit the bench for the third time in four games Wednesday, with two of those absences coming against right-handed pitchers.

Kristian Campbell 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Kristian Campbell: Shuttered for season
Triple-A Worcester placed Campbell (lat) on the 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Campbell hadn't played since last Wednesday due to the left lat strain, and his move to the IL likely means that Worcester is no longer counting on the 22-year-old to return before its regular season ends Sunday. The injury brings an end to a whirlwind campaign for Campbell, who opened the season at High-A Greenville and received two promotions while slashing .330/.439/.558 with 20 home runs and 24 stolen bases in 519 plate appearances across three levels. His lat injury isn't believed to be a major concern, so he should head into spring training at full strength.

Adam Frazier 2B | KC
Royals' Adam Frazier: Not in lineup Wednesday
Frazier is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Tigers.
After a string a five straight starts, Frazier has now been out of the lineup for two games in a row. His absence Wednesday comes against lefty Tarik Skubal, so it's no surprise the left-handed-hitting Frazier will be on the bench to begin the contest.

Christian Moore 2B | LAA
Angels' Christian Moore: Returns for Double-A finale
Moore (knee) returned to the lineup for Double-A Rocket City's 8-0 win over Chattanooga on Saturday, serving as the designated hitter while going 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, four RBI and two runs.
Moore had been sidelined for just over two weeks with a left meniscus injury before joining the Rocket City lineup for what proved to be the club's season finale, as Sunday's game versus Chattanooga was cancelled due to inclement weather. The No. 8 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Moore shined between stops at Rocket City and Single-A Inland Empire following his selection, slashing a combined .347/.400/.584 with six home runs and 20 RBI.

Jack Lopez 2B | SEA
Angels' Jack Lopez: Batting second Wednesday
Lopez will start at shortstop and bat second Wednesday against the White Sox, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Zach Neto is getting a rare day off, so Lopez will step in at shortstop after each of his previous seven starts with the Angels had come at second base. Since receiving a call-up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Aug. 15, Lopez has slashed a dismal .065/.121/.186 with a 41.2 percent strikeout rate over 34 plate appearances.

Michael Stefanic 2B | TOR
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Back in lineup Tuesday
Stefanic (calf) will start at second base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Stefanic hadn't started in any of the last four games after he was removed from Friday's game against the Astros with calf tightness, but he felt well enough to make an appearance off the bench Sunday. His return to the lineup Wednesday indicates that he's healthy, but Stefanic will likely have to settle for more of a part-time role once Brandon Drury is fully recovers from a hamstring injury. Drury is back in the lineup Wednesday as the Angels' designated hitter following a five-game absence.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Tallies three hits Tuesday
Torres went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs in an 11-2 win against Seattle on Tuesday.
Torres set the table well from the leadoff spot, scoring after each of his three hits. He was given a couple innings off his feet when Jon Berti took over for him at second base with the Yankees up big in the seventh inning. Torres is in the midst of an outstanding September, slashing .365/.423/.508 with two home runs, nine RBI, 14 runs and a 7:11 BB:K through 15 games.

Brandon Drury 1B | CHW
Angels' Brandon Drury: Back in at DH on Wednesday
Drury (hamstring) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game versus the White Sox, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Drury is back in action for the first time in a week after he had been battling a sore left hamstring. Injuries have limited him to just 88 games this season, and he's managed a dreadful .478 OPS during that time.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Three homers in eight games
Lowe went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Red Sox.
Despite missing time with a finger injury, Lowe has homered three times in his last eight games. He needs one more long ball to reach 20 for the second consecutive season, and his .238 ISO is his highest mark since 2021.
