Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Idle Wednesday
Polanco isn't in Seattle's lineup Wednesday against the Athletics.
Polanco will get a chance to regroup Wednesday after going 0-for-13 with four walks over his last five games. While he rests, Dylan Moore will start at the keystone and bat ninth.

Brooks Baldwin SS | CHW
White Sox's Brooks Baldwin: Lands on IL
The White Sox placed Baldwin on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right wrist sprain, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
A hand injury kept Baldwin sidelined for seven consecutive games before he entered Tuesday's game off the bench, though he'll now need to miss at least another 10 days after injuring his wrist. Lenyn Sosa will presumably continue to see regular starts while Baldwin is out, and Bryan Ramos will come up from Triple-A Charlotte to replenish Chicago's infield depth.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Receiving Wednesday off
Semien is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.
It's a rare day on the bench for Semien, who started Texas' previous 52 games and is sitting for just the third time all season. It's a good time for a day off, though, as the second baseman is in the midst of a 2-for-30 slump over the past seven games. Ezequiel Duran is manning the keystone while Josh Smith receives a look atop the lineup.

Brooks Baldwin SS | CHW
White Sox's Brooks Baldwin: Still sitting Wednesday
Baldwin (hand) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Baldwin hasn't been in the lineup since Aug. 27 due to a hand injury, though he did come off the bench to play second base in Tuesday's blowout loss, going 0-for-3 with a strikeout. That appearance indicates the 24-year-old is now healthy and that he's no longer the preferred option at second base. Nicky Lopez is starting at the keystone Wednesday, but Lenyn Sosa started there in three of the previous four games.

Christian Moore 2B | LAA
Angels' Christian Moore: No news yet on injury
The Angels are still "gathering information" on the leg injury Moore suffered during a Double-A game Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Moore departed Friday's Double-A contest in visible pain and hasn't played since. The organization hasn't shared details on the injury or its severity and has yet to come to a "verdict" on the issue, per Fletcher. Since moving to the Double-A level in early August, Moore has slashed .302/.355/.512 with five home runs, 10 RBI, 16 runs and two stolen bases.

Nicky Lopez 3B | COL
White Sox's Nicky Lopez: Not starting vs. lefty
Lopez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.
Lopez has a .472 OPS in his past 12 games and will sit Tuesday as southpaw Cade Povich takes the mound for Baltimore. Jacob Amaya will start at shortstop and bat ninth for Chicago.

Brooks Baldwin SS | CHW
White Sox's Brooks Baldwin: Absence continuing Tuesday
Baldwin (hand) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.
Baldwin hasn't seen the field since Aug. 27 due to a right hand injury, and he's absent from the starting nine once again Tuesday. It's unclear when the 24-year-old will return to the lineup, but the lack of IL move indicates he should still be considered day-to-day.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Tallies three hits Monday
Torres went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBI in Monday's 8-4 win against Texas.
Torres kicked off the scoring in the contest with a two-run double in the third inning. He had two additional hits for his first multi-hit performance since Aug. 26. Torres has been hitting well for the past few weeks, slashing .327/.393/.490 with two homers, nine RBI and nine runs over his past 12 games.

Nick Sogard SS | BOS
Red Sox's Nick Sogard: Getting rest Monday
Sogard isn't in the Red Sox's lineup for Monday's game against the Mets, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
Sogard has gone 2-for-16 with seven strikeouts over his last five contests, and the Red Sox will now give him a chance to clear his head Monday. Enmanuel Valdez will pick up a start at the keystone as a result while batting eighth.
