Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Visits specialist
Massey (back) visited a specialist Friday and received multiple injections, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Manager Matt Quatraro said the Royals will wait to see how Massey's back responds to the treatment before determining when he will head to the minors for a rehab assignment. For now, the 26-year-old infielder remains without a clear return timetable, and he isn't eligible for activation until Tuesday.

Andy Ibanez 2B | ATH
Tigers' Andy Ibanez: Late addition to Friday's lineup
Ibanez will start at second base and bat seventh against the Red Sox on Friday.
Ibanez was initially slated to sit Friday, but he was inserted into the lineup after Mark Canha was scratched due to left hip soreness. Ibanez will go up against Boston right-hander Tanner Houck.

Kyren Paris SS | LAA
Angels' Kyren Paris: Day off Friday
Paris isn't in the Angels' lineup Friday against the Mariners, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Paris went 0-for-3 during Thursday's loss to the Yankees, making him 0-for-8 across his last four games. Luis Rengifo will take Paris' place at the keystone Friday, allowing Luis Guillorme to start at third base while batting ninth.

Zack Gelof 2B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Records fifth steal in loss
Gelof went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in an extra-innings loss to the Rays on Thursday.
Gelof snapped an 0-for-18 slump with a single, while his steal was his fifth of the season but first since April 21. Last season's encouraging rookie campaign is increasingly in the rearview mirror for Gelof, who's now sitting on a .176 batting average and .512 OPS across 162 plate appearances. A significant season-over-season increase in strikeout rate (27.3 percent to 34.6 percent) and a notable decrease in line-drive rate (25.5 percent to 16.5 percent) have contributed to a steep drop in his BABIP (.331 to .258).

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Royals' Adam Frazier: Exiting starting nine Thursday
Frazier is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins.
Frazier will give way to Nick Loftin at second base after occupying the keystone in four of the previous five contests. Though he'll be on the bench against a right-hander (Chris Paddack), the lefty-hitting Frazier is still expected to see the bulk of the starts at second base while Michael Massey (back) is on the injured list.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Sitting out against lefty
Lowe is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.
The lefty-hitting Lowe will head to the bench for the series finale while the Athletics bring southpaw Hogan Harris to the hill. Amed Rosario will fill in at second base in place of Lowe, who is slashing just .174/.296/.391 in eight games since being reinstated from the 10-day injured list May 20.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: Resting in series finale
Julien is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Royals.
With Thursday's contest being a day game after a night game, manager Rocco Baldelli will give rest to several key regulars. Along with Julien, Alex Kirilloff, Max Kepler and Trevor Larnach will rest as the Twins open up room in the lineup for reserves Kyle Farmer, Carlos Santana, Manuel Margot and Christian Vazquez.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Angels' Brandon Drury: Targeting mid-June return
Drury (hamstring) said Wednesday that he is aiming to return from the injured list June 11, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Drury has been making steady progress since landing on the injured list May 9 due to a left hamstring injury. He got back to hitting in batting cages last week and recently began baseball activities and a running progression. The 31-year-old infielder will likely embark on a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated, though the Angels have not said when that might begin.

Michael Stefanic 2B | TOR
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Activated, optioned to Triple-A
The Angels reinstated Stefanic (quad) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Stefanic has been on the injured list all season due to a left quad strain. He began playing rehab games at rookie ball May 13 and moved to Triple-A on May 21, going 9-for-19 with six RBI in six games with the Bees. He'll remain in Salt Lake despite being fully healthy, and Jose Cisnero (shoulder) will move to the 60-day IL to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Stefanic.

Enmanuel Valdez 2B | PIT
Red Sox's Enmanuel Valdez: Joins active roster
Valdez was recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.
The 25-year-old joined the Red Sox as a member of the taxi squad due to Tyler O'Neill (knee) being banged up and is now on the 26-man roster with O'Neill headed to the injured list. Valdez has a .453 OPS in 98 plate appearances with Boston this season and should serve as a reserve infielder while up with the big club.
