Short went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's extra-inning win over the Yankees.

Short put up the first run of the contest in the fifth inning, swatting a solo shot to left field off Clarke Schmidt. The shortstop hit three long balls over his first 29 at-bats this season but has gone deep just three times across 76 at-bats since. Short had been struggling prior to Thursday, going 2-for-23 with no RBI over his previous 14 games while working mostly in a bench role.

Drury went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk, three total RBI and two total runs in Wednesday's 10-8 win over the Phillies.

Drury knocked in a run with a single in the first inning to put the Angels up 5-2. Philadelphia stormed back to carry a one-run lead into the ninth, but Los Angeles tied the score on a Luis Rengifo sacrifice fly before Drury put the team ahead with a two-run blast to right-center field off Craig Kimbrel. The long ball was the 19th of the campaign for Drury, the second-highest total of his career behind last season's 28. Over 23 games in August, Drury slashed .245/.258/.447 with five homers, 19 RBI and 11 runs.

Frazier went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 10-5 loss to the White Sox.

Frazier singled in his first at-bat to drive home Ryan O'Hearn and give the Orioles an early 3-0 lead before then stealing second. He also added a single in the ninth, giving him just his second multi-hit game this month. The second baseman has now hit safely in three straight while the stolen base was only his second since June 24.

Torres went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, two total runs and a stolen base in Wednesday's 6-2 victory versus Detroit.

Torres slammed his 23rd homer of the campaign in the fourth inning, driving a solo shot to right-center field. He's now gone deep in three straight contests, going 6-for-10 with five extra-base hits, three walks, four RBI and four runs over that span. Torres has added 13 thefts on the campaign, one shy of his career-high mark, which he established in 2021.

Massey is not in the lineup Wednesday versus the Pirates.

Samad Taylor will start at second base and bat eighth in Wednesday's series finale after Massey went 0-for-7 with a strikeout across the first two games of the three-game set. Massey, 25, has posted a rough .220/.265/.351 batting line in 378 plate appearances this season for Kansas City.

Kemp is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Kemp will hit the bench for the matinee game after he started in left field and batted fifth in each of the past six contests, going 5-for-18 with a solo home run, three walks, a double and three additional runs. Esteury Ruiz will replace Kemp in left field Wednesday.

Dubon is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Dubon has now been squeezed out of the starting nine twice in the past three days and could be relegated to more of a part-time role with Michael Brantley returning from the 60-day injured list Tuesday. After starting in left field Tuesday, Brantley will occupy the designated hitter spot Wednesday. With the Astros likely to lean heavily on the trio of Brantley, Yordan Alvarez and Yainer Diaz to handle DH duties in any given game while one of Alvarez or Brantley starts in left field, Chas McCormick could end up more frequently poaching work from Dubon in center field. Dubon has at least helped his case for not falling out of favor by producing a .919 OPS in August.

Schneider went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Nationals.

The rookie got the Blue Jays on the board in the third inning with a solo shot off MacKenzie Gore. Schneider has started four straight games -- two at second base and one each at third base and left field -- as the Jays try to cover for the absences of Bo Bichette (quadricep) and Matt Chapman (finger), and he's racked up eight RBI, five runs and eight hits with six of them (three doubles and three homers) going for extra bases. Schneider's also hit fifth or higher in all four games, as manager John Schneider (no relation) rides the hot hand to try and spark an underachieving Toronto offense.

Torres went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a walk and a hit-by-pitch in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Tigers.

The second baseman turned around Tarik Skubal's 97-mph offering, sending it 454 feet for a solo homer thanks to a 108.6 mph exit velocity and 29 degree launch angle. Torres has six multi-hit efforts in his last 11 games, going 14-for-42 (.333) with three doubles, four home runs, seven RBI and six runs scored during that stretch.

Sosa went 3-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 9-3 loss to the Orioles.

The second baseman went yard for the third time in the last five games and the fifth time this season, getting the White Sox on the board in the third inning by driving a Dean Kremer sinker over the fence in right-center. Sosa has seized control of the starting job at the keystone by batting .333 (12-for-36) over the last 11 games with four long balls and nine RBI, but his 0:9 BB:K during that hot streak suggests that while his power is legitimate, he could still be a batting average and OBP risk down the stretch.
