  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Orioles' Adam Frazier: Pops third homer

Frazier went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Frazier went yard off starter Spencer Turnbull in the fourth inning. This was Frazier's first extra-base hit since his last homer back on April 19 versus the Nationals. With Joey Ortiz back at Triple-A Norfolk and Austin Hays recovered from a hand injury, Frazier should resume his strong-side platoon role at second base. He's slashing .220/.297/.366 with three homers, 10 RBI, 16 runs scored and four stolen bases through 91 plate appearances.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Takes seat Sunday

Dubon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Dubon is 0-for-8 with two strikeouts since his 20-game hit streak came to an end Friday, so Sunday is a well-deserved day off. Rylan Bannon will take over at the keystone and bat eighth in the series finale versus Philadephia.

  • Tony Kemp 2B | MIN

Athletics' Tony Kemp: Out of lineup vs. lefty

Kemp is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

The 31-year-old was on the bench Saturday with righty Hunter Greene on the mound for Cincinnati, and the second baseman is sitting again Sunday against lefty Nick Lodolo. Kemp has gone 4-for-40 across his past 12 contests, and his playing time could dwindle further without a turnaround soon. Jordan Diaz will man the keystone in his place Sunday.

  • Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR

Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Goes yard Saturday

Gimenez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-7 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox.

Gimenez had an 0-for-12 slump recently, but he's steered out of it by going 4-for-12 with three extra-base hits in his last three contests. The second baseman is up to a .250/.327/.385 slash line with two homers, six stolen bases, six RBI, 21 runs scored and seven doubles through 26 games.

  • Jordan Diaz 3B | ATH

Athletics' Jordan Diaz: Multi-hit effort in loss

Diaz went 2-for-4 with an RBI single in a loss to the Reds on Saturday.

Diaz helped stake the Athletics to one of their trademark early leads that usually end up evaporating when he brought home Ramon Laureano with a second-inning single. The multi-hit effort was his first of the season and pushed Diaz's average to a solid .258, but making consistent contact continues to be an issue -- the 22-year-old's strikeout rate is now up to 35.5 percent after he whiffed for the 11th time in the last eight games Saturday.

  • Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM

Tigers' Andy Ibanez: Starting at third Sunday

Ibanez is starting at third base and batting ninth in Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Ibanez was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Saturday and started one of the team's two games in the doubleheader. He'll return to the lineup Sunday, with Nick Maton slotting in as the DH. Maton still figures to see the bulk of the playing time at the hot corner for the Tigers, with Ibanez in a reserve role.

  • Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Dealing with sore ankle

Hernandez is currently day-to-day and out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians due to a sore ankle, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

The sore ankle explains why Hernandez is on the bench for the second game in a row despite swinging a hot bat at the moment. Though his injury doesn't sound like a major concern, he'll get a least one more day off to recover before potentially returning to the starting nine for Monday's series opener against the Blue Jays. While Hernandez is out Sunday, Christian Arroyo will pick up another start at shortstop.

  • Red Sox's Enmanuel Valdez: Nabs fourth straight start

Valdez will start at second base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Guardians, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Valdez will make a fourth consecutive start at the keystone after going 3-for-12 with a pair of doubles and two runs since returning to the big leagues April 25. His uptick in playing time has come with Christian Arroyo sitting out games Wednesday and Friday with a hamstring injury, while Enrique Hernandez has been on the bench Saturday and Sunday with what's believed to be an undisclosed physical issue. Unless Hernandez requires a stint on the injured list, Valdez could move into a reserve role before long.

  • Nicky Lopez 3B | CHC

Royals' Nicky Lopez: Takes breather Sunday

Lopez is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Lopez has been swinging the bat better as of late with hits in three of his last four appearances, but he's one of several regulars for the Royals who are getting Sunday off. Hunter Dozier is getting the start at third base with Matt Duffy lined up at second.

  • Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Gets another turn at shortstop

Arroyo will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Guardians, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

After going 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs and two RBI in his return from a hamstring injury in Saturday's 8-7 win, Arroyo will get another start at shortstop for the series finale. Though Enrique Hernandez is eventually expected to reclaim a regular role at shortstop, Arroyo may still have a path to regular playing time at second base while all of Trevor Story (elbow), Adalberto Mondesi (knee) and Yu Chang (wrist) are several weeks away from returning from the injured list.
