Taylor Motter 2B | STL
Red Sox's Taylor Motter: Plays prominent role
Motter started at second base, batted leadoff and went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-10 loss to the Rays.
Motter provided a spark atop the order, but his glove did as much damage to the Red Sox as the Rays did. He committed throwing and fielding errors that led to a pair of unearned runs -- Tampa Bay scored six unearned runs in all. With Enrique Hernandez (COVID-19 protocols) expected back as early as Tuesday, Motter's roster spot or role will be impacted.
