Gimenez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and a stolen base in Saturday's loss to Cincinnati.
Gimenez knocked a solo shot off Reds starter Sonny Gray in the fourth inning to give Cleveland a lead that stood up up until the ninth. The shortstop also stole second base after getting hit by a pitch late in the contest. Gimenez is slashing .235/.297/.500 this season, but he has collected four hits -- three for extra bases -- in his past 11 at-bats.

Lopez isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
Lopez went 1-for-2 with a run while starting at shortstop in Saturday's matinee. Hanser Alberto will take over at short during the second game of the twin bill, batting seventh.

Biggio (hand) won't start the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Biggio will do some baseball activities Saturday, and manager Charlie Montoyo said that the 26-year-old could return to action for Sunday's series finale. Santiago Espinal took his place at third base for Saturday's matinee, and Espinal or Joe Panik could be options to fill in for the second game of the twin bill.

Gimenez went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Reds.
Gimenez hit a single and stole second in the third inning. In the ninth, Gimenez walked and came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Jose Ramirez. The 22-year-old Gimenez has struggled at the plate so far. He's batting .194 with a homer, three RBI, five runs scored and a steal across 34 plate appearances.

Biggio left Thursday's game after he took a line drive off his right hand, but he underwent X-rays after the contest that came back negative. Santiago Espinal will start at third base during Saturday's matinee, batting seventh.

It's the first homer in a Cleveland uniform for the 25-year-old. Rosario has mostly struggled at the plate to begin the season, slashing .194/.286/.323 through 35 plate appearances as he splits his time between shortstop and center field.

Astros' Jose Altuve: Unlikely to return during road trip
Altuve (COVID-19 protocols) is unlikely to return during the Astros' current five-game road trip, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.
Altuve was placed on the COVID-19 injured list along with five other Astros on Wednesday. While it's not yet clear whether Altuve has tested positive for the virus, manager Dusty Baker said Friday that he wasn't optimistic that any of the players would be able to return before the team returns home Thursday. Aledmys Diaz and Alex De Goti should continue to fill in at second base in Altuve's absence.
