Semien got the Blue Jays on the board with his homer off Rangers reliever Matt Bush in the eighth inning. Through six games, Semien has racked up three homers, five RBI, three runs scored and a pair of walks. He's slashing .240/.296/.600 across 27 plate appearances.

Torres will start at shortstop and bat second Wednesday against the Orioles.
The 24-year-old has batted out of either the fourth or fifth spot in the lineup in each of the Yankees' first five games, but he'll slide into the two hole with Aaron Judge (side) sitting out the series finale. Torres heads into Wednesday's contest with a five-game hit streak on the line, but only one of his five hits (a double) has gone for extra bases.

Andrus will start at shortstop and bat eighth Wednesday against the Dodgers.
Andrus has picked up starts in all seven of the Athletics' games, but he has yet to take advantage of the steady playing time. He's one of several hitters struggling at the moment for the 0-6 Athletics, as Andrus has recorded just one hit through his first 21 at-bats.

Mendick is starting Wednesday's game against Seattle.
Mendick was recalled by the White Sox after Tim Anderson (hamstring) was placed on the injured list Wednesday. While Leury Garcia should see most of the at-bats at shortstop in Anderson's absence, Mendick will start at shortstop and bat ninth in the series finale against the Mariners.

Mendick was sent to the White Sox's alternate training site to begin the year, but he'll be called up to serve as infield depth after Tim Anderson (hamstring) was placed on the injured list Wednesday. Leury Garcia should serve as the primary shortstop in Anderson's absence, but Mendick could see some playing time as a backup.

Arraez returned to the starting lineup Tuesday and went hitless with two strikeouts in five at-bats against Detroit. However, Brent Rooker will take his place in left field Wednesday while Willians Astudillo starts at third base.

Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Starts at 2B, leads off
Arroyo batted leadoff and went 1-for-6 with a run scored in Tuesday's 6-5 extra-innings win over the Rays.
Arroyo made his second start of the season -- both have come at second base in place of Enrique Hernandez -- but this was the first time he batted leadoff. Hernandez, Boston's primary second baseman who started in center field when Arroyo made his first start, got his first night off after opening the season 2-for-15 as Boston's leadoff hitter.

Hernandez is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Rays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
This is his first day off of the season, and it will come against right-handed ace Tyler Glasnow. He's 2-for-15 with zero home runs, zero steals and a 4:2 K:BB. Christian Arroyo will start at second base and lead off.
