Triolo isn't in the Pirates' lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.

Triolo will get a day to rest after going 3-for-7 with an RBI and a run scored through the first two games of the series. Alika Williams will instead get the nod at the keystone, batting ninth.

Stott isn't in the Phillies' lineup for Saturday's game against Pittsburgh.

Southpaw Marco Gonzales will start for the Pirates on Saturday, meaning the left-handed bat of Stott will watch the beginning of the game from the dugout. Edmundo Sosa will enter the lineup to play second base while batting sixth.

Espinal started at third base and went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Friday's 11-1 win over the White Sox.

Espinal delivered one run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning then put the coda on the game with a two-run single in the ninth. He's typically in the lineup against left-handers but made his first start against a righty Friday, filling in for a slumping Jeimer Candelario. Both of Espinal's hits Friday were off lefties.

Cardinals manager Oli Marmol said Friday that Edman (wrist) will ramp up his rehab process Monday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Edman was shut down during spring training after experiencing lingering pain in his surgically repaired right wrist. He started the season on the 10-day IL and has not yet been cleared for most baseball activities. Starting Monday, Edman and Dylan Carlson (shoulder) will hit off a tee and against soft-toss throws from coaches in the first step of their rehab process. With the Cardinals last season, Edman slashed .248/.307/.399 with 13 home runs and 47 RBI over 528 plate appearances.

Turang is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Baltimore.

Turang started the past 10 games after sitting Opening Day against a left-handed starter, but he'll take a seat Friday with right-hander Tyler Wells pitching for the Orioles. Andrew Monasterio will handle the keystone and bat eighth.

Stott went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Thursday in a 5-1 victory versus Pittsburgh.

Stott's two-run blast in the seventh inning capped the scoring in the contest for Philadelphia. It was his first homer of the year and just his second extra-base hit of any sort. It's been a slow start to the campaign for Stott, who is slashing just .220/.313/.317 through 48 plate appearances.

McNeil went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, three RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 16-4 victory over Atlanta.

After going just 2-for-22 to start the campaign, McNeil's now hit safely in his last five contests, going 5-for-13 in that span. While he's shown signs of turning it around at the plate, the 32-year-old McNeil is still batting just .200 with a .647 OPS through 11 games this year. He slashed .270/.333/.378 with 10 homers, 75 runs scored, 55 RBI and 10 steals in 2023.

Bae (hip) had his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Bae began a rehab assignment Sunday and appeared in only one game with Single-A Bradenton before moving to Indianapolis. That suggests he's nearing a return, though an exact timeline for his 2024 debut remains unclear.

Hoerner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in San Diego.

Hoerner is getting his first day off of the season after having started in each of the Cubs' first 11 contests. Miles Mastrobuoni will serve as the Cubs' second baseman Wednesday.

Stott will start at second base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Stott is slashing just .206/.317/.235 in his first 11 contests this season, so he'll be dropped from sixth to eighth in the Phillies' batting order. He's switching spots with Brandon Marsh, who has been elevated to sixth.
