Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Agrees to terms
Garcia signed a one-year contract to avoid arbitration with the Nationals on Thursday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
The Nationals have been open about the fact that Garcia is not guaranteed playing time this year, but he won't face stiff competition from Jake Alu, Ildemaro Vargas or Nasim Nunez. Garcia already has 325 MLB games under his belt and won't turn 24 until May, but he has been a replacement-level player for two seasons in a row (0.1 fWAR both years). He hit a career-high nine home runs with a career-high nines steals last year. The main thing Garcia offers is a decent batting average -- he has hit .266 or better in back-to-back seasons.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Settles with Giants at $4.7 million
The Giants and Estrada avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.7 million contract Thursday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Estrada was eligible for salary arbitration for the second time. The 27-year-old infielder has emerged as a quality regular in San Francisco, posting a .727 OPS with 28 homers and 44 steals over the last two seasons. Estrada currently looks pegged to be the team's everyday second baseman, but he offers the versatility to bounce around, if needed.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Braves' Luis Guillorme: Signs with Atlanta
Guillorme signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with Atlanta on Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Guillorme was non-tendered by the Mets earlier in the offseason, and he'll stay put in the NL East. The 29-year-old slashed .224/.288/.327 across 120 plate appearances last season, and he'll add depth behind Atlanta's star-studded infield.

Alan Trejo SS | COL
Rockies' Alan Trejo: Outrighted to Triple-A
The Rockies sent Trejo outright to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.
Trejo's move to Triple-A and off the 40-man roster comes as a result of Dakota Hudson signing with the Rockies on Friday. Trejo slashed .232/.288/.343 with 26 RBI across 227 plate appearances last season. However, he has historically performed significantly better in Triple-A, and he could still return to Colorado if he gets off to another hot start in the minors.

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Recovering from wrist surgery
Edman underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist in October, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak made the revelation Thursday, adding that he expects Edman to be ready to go at the start of spring training. The super utility player missed three weeks in July with tendon inflammation in the wrist and opted for surgery after the season when the pain and stiffness lingered. Edman is currently projected to be St. Louis' everyday center fielder in 2024.

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Undergoes ACL surgery
Mauricio underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ACL in his right knee.
Mauricio suffered the injury last month while playing in the Dominican Winter League. Per the Mets, a typical timeline for a return to game action from this procedure is 8-to-12 months, which would indicate the young infielder could be out until September even in a best-case scenario. Mauricio had been slated to compete for the third base job with the Mets, but the bulk of those duties now figure to fall to Brett Baty.

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Surgery imminent
Mauricio is slated to undergo surgery to repair a torn right ACL shortly after New Year's Day, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
Mauricio suffered the injury Dec. 10 while playing winter ball in the Dominican Republic. The Mets have not revealed a potential timetable for the young infielder's return to action, but it seems likely that he'll be out until sometime after the All-Star break. With Mauricio sidelined, Brett Baty is the favorite to see the lion's share of starts at third base for the Mets.

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Diagnosed with torn ACL
Mauricio has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his knee and will require surgery, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.
Mauricio suffered the injury on Sunday during Dominican Winter League play while running the bases. A timetable for the youngster's return is not yet clear but should be available following the operation. At the very least, he is certainly not going to be ready in time for Opening Day. Mauricio had been set to compete with Brett Baty for the Mets' third base job, which means Baty is now the heavy favorite to man the hot corner in the opener, with Mark Vientos also in the mix.

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Undergoing tests for knee injury
Mauricio is headed back to the United States to undergo testing for a knee injury he suffered Sunday while playing in the Dominican Winter League, Michael Mayer of MetsmerizedOnline.com reports.
Playing for Tigres del Licey, Mauricio was hurt when he stopped abruptly in between first and second base as he halted a stolen-base attempt. He first underwent testing in the Dominican Republic -- the results of which are unclear -- and will now travel to New York to be looked at by Mets doctors. If healthy, Mauricio is slated to compete in spring training for the Mets' third-base job.
