    India (foot) is expected to be activated Tuesday against the Marlins, MLB.com reports.

    India, who is dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot, recently initiated baseball activities following a brief stretch of rest. Tuesday is his first day eligible to return from the 10-day injured list.

    Kim went 2-for-4 with a walk and two stolen bases in Friday's 10-5 loss to the Dodgers.

    Kim has shown no hesitation with six stolen bases during his 10-game hitting streak, a span in which he's batting .471 (16-for-34). The infielder's impressive stretch has him up to 24 thefts this season, and he's maintained a .287/.382/.458 slash line with 15 home runs, 41 RBI and 60 runs scored over 105 contests. With both willingness and ample opportunity to run, Kim has emerged as a strong leadoff hitter for the Padres in his third major-league campaign.

    Rosario went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 10-5 win over the Padres.

    Rosario was at shortstop Friday after making his last three starts at second base, all against southpaws. He's gone 7-for-21 (.333) with a home run, seven RBI and one steal through six games with the Dodgers since he was traded from the Guardians. Rosario is at a .268/.309/.379 slash line with four homers, 10 steals, 47 RBI and 54 runs scored through 100 contests in 2023.

    Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Launches two homers in loss

    Gorman went 3-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs in Friday's 9-4 loss to the Rockies.

    Gorman missed the prior game with a bruised foot he sustained Wednesday, but he returned with a vengeance, popping a pair of homers for the second time in his last eight contests. The second baseman is up to 24 long balls, 67 RBI, 47 runs scored, six stolen bases and a .245/.331/.512 slash line through 97 games this season. With Brendan Donovan (elbow) done for the year, Gorman will likely take on an everyday role at second base rather than sitting versus most southpaws.

    Mets' Jonathan Arauz: Optioned to Syracuse

    The Mets optioned Arauz to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

    With Starling Marte (migraines) coming back from the injured list Friday, the Mets will send Arauz back to the minors to free up a roster spot. The 25-year-old went 1-for-6 during his latest stint in the majors and is slashing .244/.344/.429 through 395 plate appearances in Triple-A this year.

    Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Back in lineup

    Gorman (foot) is starting at second base and batting third Friday against the Rockies, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

    After missing Thursday's game due to a bruised foot, Gorman is officially good to go for Friday's series opener. The 23-year-old came back from the All-Star break scorching hot, but he is just 1-for-11 with seven strikeouts across his last four games.

    Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Gets day off Friday

    Hoerner is getting the day off Friday versus Atlanta, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

    Nick Madrigal will start at second base and bat leadoff against the NL East leaders and left-hander Max Fried. Hoerner went 6-for-16 with a homer, two doubles, one RBI, one stolen base and six runs scored in the Cubs' previous series versus the Reds.

    Brewers' Brice Turang: Launches fifth homer

    Turang went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Thursday's win over the Pirates.

    Turang extended Milwaukee's lead to 8-1 with a three-run homer off Mitch Keller in the fifth inning. It's Turang's fifth long ball of the year and just his second in his last 50 games. While he hasn't provided frequent power, the rookie infielder has been swinging the bat well, going 9-for-20 (.450) over his last six games. Overall, Turang is slashing .221/.289/.333 with 27 runs scored, 25 RBI and 12 stolen bases across 284 plate appearances this season.

    Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Scratched with bruised foot

    Gorman was scratched from the lineup Thursday versus the Twins due to a bruised foot, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

    Gorman fouled a ball off his foot Wednesday and will take a day off for rest and treatment. It's not believed to be a serious concern. Jose Fermin is now starting at second base and batting ninth for the Cardinals in Thursday's series finale against Minnesota.

    Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Gets breather Thursday

    Marte is absent from the lineup Thursday versus the Giants.

    Marte went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in the Diamondbacks' loss at San Francisco on Wednesday and will grab some physical and mental rest during Thursday's matinee. Geraldo Perdomo is getting the start at second base for Arizona, and Nick Ahmed will play shortstop.
