Peguero was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Peguero, 22, played in one game for the Pirates last season but should get a longer look this time around. He's batted .260/.333/.462 with 13 home runs and 22 stolen bases between Double-A Altoona and Indianapolis in 2023. Peguero could see the bulk of the starts at shortstop for Pittsburgh, with Nick Gonzales focusing more on second base.

Gorman went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Nationals.

Gorman posted his first three-hit game since May 18 and has now posted back-to-back games with multiple hits and RBI. Gorman scuffled at the plate in June, hitting just .143/.211/.229 with two homers, six RBI seven runs and a 6:30 BB:K in 20 games. While his strikeout numbers are still high in July, it seems like the worst of his slump is over. He's now slashing .244/.306/.511 with three homers, nine RBI, 11 runs and a 4:20 BB:K in 13 games this month. The 23-year-old slugger will continue to see the large majority of his at-bats against righties only.

Trejo went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 8-7 extra-innings win over the Yankees.

Trejo entered as a pinch runner and scored in the eighth inning before walking it off with his solo shot in the 11th. The homer was his first of the season in 46 contests. The infielder has added 14 RBI, 12 runs scored, eight doubles and four stolen bases over 128 plate appearances. Trejo doesn't have an immediate path to significant playing time -- his best bet would be to compete with Harold Castro at second base, which could earn Trejo a short-side platoon role.

Marte went 1-for-4 with a walk, a double and three RBI in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Blue Jays.

Marte cleared the bases with a three-run double in the ninth inning. The runs driven in snapped an 11-game drought without an RBI. Prior to that rally, that Diamondbacks' offense consisted of two runs: one on a two-base throwing error and another on a wild pitch. Arizona had scoring issues during a three-game sweep, posting just six runs over the previous 26 innings before Marte's double. The loss dropped them to third third place in the NL West.

Peguero began the 2023 campaign at Double-A Altoona but was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis in early July. Over 76 minor-league games this year, he's slashed .256/.330/.458 with 13 home runs, 54 runs, 38 RBI and 21 steals. The 22-year-old made his major-league debut last year during a lone matchup with the Pirates, and he should have plenty of opportunities to play in Pittsburgh down the stretch.

Rodgers (shoulder) will head out to High-A Spokane on Monday to begin a rehab assignment, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

At one point, Rodgers' injury was feared to be season-ending, but he now appears to be on the verge of a return to live action. Rodgers will start out at the High-A level, and given the extended absence, he figures to take close to the full 20 days allotted to him on rehab. While he took a bit of a step backward last season, Rodgers is a .294/.349/.442 career hitter at home in Coors Field.

The Brewers recalled Jones from Triple-A Nashville on Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

After being sent down earlier in the week, Jones will return with Brian Anderson (back) landing on the 10-day injured list. While Jones put together a respectable .292/.427/.542 line in 62 games with the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate earlier this season, he's not starting Sunday, and the Brewers don't seem inclined to give him a serious look as a regular.

Arraez went 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

The dream of a .400 season could be starting to fade for the 26-year-old, as he was batting "only" .297 (11-for-37) through 10 games in July coming into Saturday, but Arraez's bat roared back to life in this one. It's the sixth time in 88 games this year he's collected four or more hits, and while his .386 batting average on the season remains extraordinary, it comes with only three homers, one steal, 40 runs and 43 RBI.

Kim went 3-for-8 with two walks, two runs scored and a stolen base across both games of Saturday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

The Padres got swept in the twin bill, but it was no fault of Kim's as he reached base three times while hitting leadoff in both contests. The 27-year-old extended his on-base streak to 12 games, a stretch in which he's slashing .302/.404/.488 with two of his 10 homers and four of his 17 steals on the season.

Donovan went 2-for-8 with a home run, a triple, five RBI and two runs scored across both halves of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Nationals.

Donovan supplied a game-tying homer after play resumed from Friday's suspended contest. In the nightcap, he added a two-run triple in the second inning. The versatile 26-year-old has been hampered by an arm injury lately, which has limited him to designated hitter, but his bat has been too good to come out of the lineup. He's gone 12-for-33 (.364) over nine contests since he was cleared to return as the DH. Donovan is slashing .282/.367/.411 with nine home runs, 29 RBI, 38 runs scored and four stolen bases through 83 games this season.
