  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Pops another homer

Dubon went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-1 win over the Angels.

Dubon entered the game in the sixth inning after Evan Longoria (side) exited. In the bottom of the sixth, Dubon extended San Francisco's lead to 4-1 with his solo shot, which was his second homer in as many games. The utilityman is slashing .244/.281/.387 with four homers, 17 RBI, 11 runs scored and a stolen base through 48 contests this year. If Longoria is forced to miss time, one of Dubon, Wilmer Flores or Donovan Solano would likely handle third base in a near-everyday role.

  • Nolan Gorman 2B | STL

Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Solid thus far in Springfield

Gorman owns a .274/.358/.417 slash line with three doubles, three home runs, 10 RBI, two stolen bases, 11 walks and 14 runs across 95 plate appearances for Double-A Springfield.

The promising prospect is more than holding his own in his first exposure to Double-A arms, and his current 26.3 percent strikeout rate, while elevated, is actually better than those he generated at the Low-A and High-A levels during the 2018 and 2019 campaigns. Gorman has also continued to display above-average patience at the dish, as evidenced by an 11.6 percent walk rate that's his highest since his first professional stop in rookie ball back in 2018. If he continues to enjoy similar success with Springfield into the latter portion of the summer, a promotion to Triple-A Memphis at some point before the conclusion of the minor-league season certainly wouldn't be out of the question.

  • Reds' Jonathan India: On bench Monday

India isn't in the lineup Monday against the Phillies.

India had started each of the last three games and went 3-for-9 with an RBI, a walk and four strikeouts. Max Schrock will start at second base and bat fifth.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Swats first HR since return

Marte went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a second run scored in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Cardinals.

Marte is dialing in his swing after missing six weeks with a hamstring injury. Sunday's long ball was his first since returning to the active roster May 19, and the outfielder is 7-for-23 (.304) with five RBI and five runs over the last six games.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Cranks third homer

Dubon went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Dodgers.

Dubon went deep in the first inning off Clayton Kershaw for his third home run of the season. The 26-year-old has only 11 long balls in his short career. He is slashing just .239/.278/.359 with a .637 OPS, which is much lower than his .274 batting average and .731 OPS over his first two seasons. Before Saturday's game, he went 0-14 without reaching base safely in six games.

  • Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU

Mets' Luis Guillorme: Nearing rehab assignment

Guillorme (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment "soon," Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

Guillorme has been on the injured list since April 30, and he made slow progress early in his rehab process. However, Guillorme could be reinstated from the injured list shortly after he's able to begin his rehab assignment.

  • Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Pops third homer

Kim went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-4 loss to Houston.

The 25-year-old went deep off Houston reliever Andre Scrubb in the ninth inning. Kim is up to three homers, 16 RBI, 14 runs scored and four stolen bases through 145 plate appearances. With Manny Machado back from a shoulder injury, Kim is expected to mostly serve in a utility role in the infield once San Diego returns to National League play Monday.

  • Luis Garcia 2B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Optioned to Triple-A

Garcia (hamstring) was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Sunday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Garcia left Saturday's matinee with a hamstring cramp but didn't appear off the bench in Sunday's loss to the Brewers. He'll now return to the minors after he went 1-for-5 with a triple, a run and a strikeout in three appearances during his stint with the major-league club.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Drives in three Saturday

Dubon went 1-for-4 with three RBI in Saturday's 11-6 win over the Dodgers.

The Giants took the lead on Dubon's two-RBI single in the second inning, and they didn't trail in the game. He added some insurance with a sacrifice fly to score Donovan Solano in the eighth. Dubon has a .228/.262/.325 slash line with two home runs, 14 RBI, eight runs scored and a stolen base in 122 plate appearances this year. He's gotten a fair amount of playing time since San Francisco has dealt with injuries, but he may be best suited for a versatile role off the bench given his performance.

  • Luis Garcia 2B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: MRI comes back negative

Manager Davey Martinez said Sunday that Garcia's MRI on his hamstring came back negative, confirming that it was simply a hamstring cramp that forced him to leave Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Garcia did not play in Saturday's nightcap and he is not in the lineup Sunday. However, given Martinez's update, the infielder seems to have a good chance of being available off the bench in the series finale against the Brewers.
