  • Luis Garcia 2B | WAS

    Nationals' Luis Garcia: Remains sidelined

Garcia (heel) remains on the bench Tuesday against the Rays.

Garcia was scratched from Monday's lineup with a bruised heel and will sit for at least one more day. If he doesn't appear off the bench Tuesday, he'll wind up getting at least three days to rest, as the Nationals have a scheduled off day Wednesday. Josh Harrison remains the starter at second base in his absence.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Suddenly finds power

McNeil went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk Monday against the Phillies.

After failing to go deep in his first 33 games this season, McNeil has two homers in his past two starts. On Monday, he took David Phelps deep for a three-run shot in the seventh inning. Aside from his power, McNeil continues to make plenty of contact as he is currently hitting .298/.367/.438 across 139 plate appearances.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Intrasquad matchup on tap

Albies (wrist) will participate in an intrasquad matchup at the Braves' alternate training site Tuesday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Albies' recovery has gone a bit slowly, but he's been making significant strides recently. He was able to resume swinging over the past few days, and Tuesday's intrasquad matchup could be one of his final tuneups before a potential return. A timetable for him to return to the majors hasn't yet been announced, but he could be back on the field soon if all goes well Tuesday.

  • Luis Garcia 2B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Scratched from lineup

Garcia (heel) was scratched from Monday's lineup against the Rays, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Garcia's bruised heel was feeling better earlier in the day, but he evidently won't be able to start against the Rays. It's unclear whether he'll be available off the bench. Josh Harrison will take his place at second base.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

Diamondbacks' Josh Rojas: Batting leadoff Monday

Rojas will start at second base and will bat leadoff Sunday against the Giants.

Though he didn't start in the Diamondbacks' first game following his Sept. 1 callup, Rojas has now entered the lineup in Arizona's subsequent six contests, either at second base or as the team's designated hitter. He's only gone 3-for-17 with no extra-base hits and a stolen base since his promotion, but Rojas should continue to get plenty of run in September for a 15-26 Diamondbacks squad that has no visions of competing for a playoff spot.

  • Luis Garcia 2B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Returns to lineup

Garcia (heel) is starting Monday against the Rays.

Garcia was removed from Sunday's contest due to a bruised heel, but he's feeling better Monday and will return to action. He'll bat eighth and play second base against the Rays.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Takes back everyday role

Dubon will start in center field and will bat ninth Monday against the Diamondbacks, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

After a slow start to begin his first full season in San Francisco that briefly resulted in him moving into a part-time role, Dubon has seemingly re-emerged as an everyday player. He'll be making his eighth consecutive start in center field Monday after going 9-for-26 with two doubles, a triple, four RBI and two runs over the past seven contests. The 26-year-old may be worth a pickup in deeper mixed leagues for fantasy managers looking for aid in batting average and stolen bases.

  • Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR

Mets' Andres Gimenez: Fourth straight start

Gimenez will start at shortstop and will bat eighth Monday against the Phillies.

Starting for the fourth straight game over a healthy Amed Rosario, Gimenez at least temporarily seems to have emerged as the Mets' primary shortstop. The lefty-hitting Gimenez may hit the bench against southpaws occasionally, but he should be in store for the bulk of the work versus right-handers while he continues to fare respectably at the plate in his rookie season. Gimenez is slashing .282/.329/.385 through 85 plate appearances on the campaign, but he offers most of his value to the Mets through his defense and speed (7-for-7 on stolen-base attempts).

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Pops homer in rout

McNeil went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Sunday in the Mets' 14-1 win over the Phillies.

McNeil provided one of five long balls on the day for the Mets, who came through with their best run output of the season against Phillies ace Aaron Nola. The 28-year-old has supplied hits in all but one of his last 10 games, going 14-for-38 (.368 average) with a home run, seven doubles, a 3:3 BB:K, five runs and four RBI over that stretch. He'll bat seventh and man left field for the fourth straight game in Monday's series finale.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Notches two hits Sunday

Frazier went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over Cincinnati.

The 28-year-old extended his hitting streak to 10 games, during which he's collected 12 hits in 31 at-bats plus an 8:5 BB:K. After bouncing around the bottom of the batting order for several games, Frazier has moved back up to the No. 2 slot. He's also moved back to second base after playing several times in left field. Frazier has only one extra-base hit ( a double) in the last 10 games, but at least the career .275 hitter has lifted his slash line to .234/.303/.340.
