  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Blasts walkoff home run

Rosario went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in Friday's Game 2 win against the Yankees.

Rosario wasn't in the lineup for the second game of Friday's twin bill, but he entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and ended the contest with a home run. Rosario has largely struggled to begin the season as he's hitting .215 with three home runs and 10 RBI.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Not starting second game

Rosario isn't in the lineup for the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Yankees.

Rosario went 1-for-3 with a strikeout in the first game Friday, and he'll retreat to the bench for Game 2. Luis Guillorme will start at shortstop in his absence.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Brewers' Luis Urias: Gets chance to lead off

Urias will hit leadoff in Friday's game against the Pirates.

Urias has not higher than seventh since making his season debut Aug. 10, but he will get a chance to head up the batting order Friday. Urias has slowed some since getting off to a hot start, but he has done a good job getting on base, posting a .362 OBP over 14 games.

  • Luis Garcia 2B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Not starting Friday

Garcia is not in the lineup Friday against the Red Sox.

Garcia started 10 of 12 games since being called up Aug. 14 and has a .317/.333/.439 slash line in 42 plate appearances, but he'll receive a day off with lefty Martin Perez pitching for Boston. Josh Harrison starts at the keystone Friday for the Nationals.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Not returning during road trip

Albies (wrist) is unlikely to rejoin Atlanta before the end of its current road trip, which lasts through Wednesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

He hit from both sides of the plate earlier this week, but Atlanta will understandably wait until he is 100 percent before slotting him back into the lineup. It sounds like next weekend's home series against the Nationals would be the earliest Albies could return.

  • Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD

Marlins' Logan Forsythe: Out with oblique strain

Forsythe was placed on the 45-day injured list Friday with a right oblique strain.

The veteran infielder presumably suffered the injury during Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets, when he went 0-for-2. Forsythe doesn't have an official timeline for his return, but his placement on the 45-day injured list rules him out for the rest of the regular season, at least.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Out of Friday's lineup

Dubon is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Dubon is out of the lineup for the third straight contest as he has a .627 OPS and two steals in 79 plate appearances. Mike Yastrzemski shifts to center field Friday, while Joey Rickard starts in right.

  • Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR

Mets' Andres Gimenez: Activated from IL

Gimenez was activated from the COVID-19 injured list prior to Friday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Tim Healey of Newsday reports. He is not in the lineup for Game 1.

Amed Rosario and Jeff McNeil will start up the middle for the matinee, but we could see Gimenez in there for the nightcap. He had predictably cooled off prior to landing on the IL, hitting .154 with a 7:1 K:BB over his last 26 at-bats, although he still managed three steals on three attempts over that span.

  • Gavin Lux SS | TB

Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Rejoins taxi squad

Lux was placed back on the taxi squad after serving as the 29th man for Thursday's doubleheader against the Giants, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Lux started Game 2 of the twin bill and went 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts. The 22-year-old will rejoin the Dodgers' taxi squad and should remain the top option to nab a roster spot if Los Angeles needs another infielder.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

Giants' Mauricio Dubon: Not starting Game 2

Dubon is not in the starting lineup for Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Dodgers.

Despite southpaw Caleb Ferguson pitching for Los Angeles, Dubon is set to sit, as he did for the matinee.
