  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: On base four times in win

Albies went 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI in Friday's win over the Marlins.

The first half of 2019 has gone very differently for Albies than the beginning of last season. He hasn't homered in over a month, and his .268/.330/.408 slash line has traded some power for patience compared to his performance as a rookie. The 22-year-old still has plenty of time to put everything together, but for now he'll continue to hit mainly toward the bottom of the Atlanta lineup as he searches for some consistency.

  • Marlins' Yangervis Solarte: Inks deal with Miami

Solarte agreed to a minor-league contract with the Marlins on Friday, Craig Mish of Sirius XM reports.

Solarte spent 28 games with the Giants earlier this season, but he struggled to a .205 average with a home run and seven RBI. He'll report to extended spring training before ultimately getting sent to Triple-A New Orleans.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Padres' Luis Urias: Should rejoin Padres this month

The Padres are expected to give serious consideration to promoting Urias before the end of June, and possibly within the next week, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. "I think he's on a really fast track," general manager A.J. Preller said. "We just wanted to ... make sure that he was in a good spot, so that when he came back and hit (against) the better quality big-league pitching, we felt like he was in a really balanced position and in a powerful position."

His .368/.461/.724 slash line and 14 home runs in 44 games in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League are obviously quite impressive and his .432 average and 7:7 K:BB over his last 10 games further suggests that the time is drawing near for Urias to be called up for good. He has upped his flyball rate and pull rate at Triple-A this season, which has contributed to the power breakout, and now he is regaining the elite contact skills that made him such a promising prospect in the first place. Look for him to take over as San Diego's everyday second baseman sometime this month.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Homers again Thursday

Rosario went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's win over the Giants.

The shortstop led off the bottom of the first inning with his second long ball in as many games. Rosario is slashing a solid .275/.310/.600 over his last 10 contests, and he already has eight homers through 59 games in 2019 -- one shy of last year's career high.

  • Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR

Mets' Andres Gimenez: Lands on minor-league IL

Gimenez was placed on the 7-day injured list Thursday with a hand or wrist injury, Andrew Battifarano of MiLB.com reports.

The move, which is retroactive to Monday, comes after Gimenez was hit by a pitch on the hand during Double-A Binghamton's game against Portland over the weekend. Specifics regarding the issue remain unclear, leaving the well-regarded 20-year-old without a timetable for his return. Prior to landing on the shelf, Gimenez was slashing .232/.305/.333 with two homers and 11 stolen bases in 45 games for the Rumble Ponies.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

    Pirates' Adam Frazier: Sitting Thursday

Frazier is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Braves.

Frazier will rest for the day game after a night game after starting in each of the Pirates' last seven contests. Kevin Newman -- who unseated Frazier as the team's primary leadoff man in late May -- will man the keystone in the series finale.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Gets day off

McNeil is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Giants, Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports reports.

Since being activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, McNeil has started in both of the Mets' games, going 4-for-10 with a double and a run scored between the two contests. Per Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News, manager Mickey Callaway said McNeil sit Thursday as part of a pre-planned day off, suggesting the 27-year-old didn't experience any setbacks with his left hamstring in either of his two starts. Expect McNeil to check back into the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Rockies.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Pops seventh homer

Rosario went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Giants.

His fourth-inning blast off Tyler Beede gave Rosario seven homers on the year, including three in his last 12 games. The shortstop's .251/.294/.416 slash line does limit his fantasy appeal to deeper formats, but the 23-year-old could still enjoy a second-half surge as he did in 2018.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Heads to bench

Hernandez is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Arizona, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Hernandez had started five of the last six games, going 6-for-21 with a pair of homers over that stretch. Chris Taylor will start at second base in his absence.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Launches 10th homer

Hernandez went 2-for-5 with an RBI single and a solo home run in Tuesday's 9-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

His solo shot to lead off the seventh inning padded a 3-0 lead, and Hernandez added a run-scoring single in the eighth for good measure. The veteran utility player has now gone yard three times in his last eight games, giving him 10 homers on the year to go along with a tepid .224/.296/.417 slash line.
