Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Out of Saturday's lineup
Drury is out of Saturday's lineup against the Giants.
Even with Chris Owings suffering a significant injury, Drury still seems locked into a role where he sits once or twice each week. Daniel Descalso will start at the keystone and hit sixth against righty Chris Stratton.

Yangervis Solarte 2B | SD
Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Hits 11th bomb of year Friday
Solarte went 2-for-5 with a solo homer Friday against the Pirates.
Solarte blasted his 11th home run of the year off Ivan Nova to extend the Padres' lead to two runs in the sixth inning of a losing effort. The bomb was his first hit in four games since returning from the disabled list, and his low batting average and slugging percentage damper some of this year's modest pop.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Reinstated from bereavement list
Marte was reinstated from the bereavement list prior to Friday's game against the Giants.
Marte missed three games following the passing of his mother, and returns to the team in San Francisco for the series opener. With Chris Owings (finger) on the disabled list, expect Marte to earn a bulk of the starts at shortstop moving forward.

Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Logan Forsythe: Out of lineup Friday
Forsythe is not in Friday's lineup against the Mets, JP Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.
Forsythe receives a standard day off after starting the past seven games, going 4-for-24 with two RBI and nine strikeouts during that span. While he spends the night on the bench to clear his head, Chase Utley draws the start at second base.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Hot hitting continues Thursday
Frazier went 2-for-4 with a run scored Thursday against the Reds.
After struggling prior to the All-Star break, Frazier has slashed .422/.460/.533 in his last 51 plate appearances. He's started the last three games, but that's because second baseman Josh Harrison (ankle) has been hurt. Harrison could return to action as soon as Friday, so Frazier will be limited to spot-starting at second base and in the outfield once the team is healthy.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Smacks three-run homer for first hit
Albies went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk Thursday against the Dodgers.
Albies' first big league home run came with his team trailing by six runs in the ninth inning, but the inconsequential game situation won't make the memory any less special for the 20-year-old middle infielder. The long ball off Tony Cingrani was also his first major league hit, as Albies had gone 0-for-5 in his first two games after being promoted from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Homers in win
Drury went 2-for-5 with a solo home run during Thursday's win over the Cubs.
Arizona is dealing with a number of injuries to its middle infield, so Drury should continue to receive consistent at-bats at second base moving forward. He sports a respectable .276/.327/.443 slash line with nine homers, 44 RBI and 32 runs for the campaign. Those numbers move the fantasy needle in deeper settings.

Yangervis Solarte 2B | SD
Padres' Yangervis Solarte: May be confined to utility role
Solarte will serve a utility infield role for the time being, Dennis Lin of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Solarte has started at three different infield positions since returning from the disabled list July 30. He wasn't able to reclaim his regular role as the Padres' starting second baseman after Carlos Asuaje performed well in his absence. The 30-year-old should still receive semi-regular playing time if this situation holds, but Solarte will need to do better than going 0-for-10 since his return if he wants to unseat one of the Padres' younger infielders.

Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Held out Wednesday
Drury is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cubs.
With the multitude of injuries plaguing the Diamondbacks' middle infield, Drury seems to be in line for a bit more playing time, but he'll hit the bench Wednesday as his struggles at the plate continue. Daniel Descalso will pick up a start at second base in his place.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Makes first start at third base
Drury made his first start of the season at third base, going 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
Drury's offensive tailspin continued in his return to the lineup following a two-game hiatus, but his performance in the field proved to be a bigger issue. While receiving the start at the hot corner for a resting Jake Lamb, Drury misplayed a grounder in the second, prolonging a four-run inning for the Cubs. Once Lamb reclaims his regular spot in the starting nine, Drury will likely move back to his more familiar place at second base, where he could regain a full-time role in spite of his lack of success at the plate of late. Chris Owings fractured his middle finger Sunday and could miss the rest of the regular season, leaving a long-term vacancy in the middle infield that Drury should be the top candidate to fill.
