  • Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Logan Forsythe: Exits prematurely with hamstring tightness

Forsythe left Saturday's contest in the fourth inning due to a bout of right hamstring tightness, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

His removal from the game seemed a little fishy considering he was already 3-for-3 on the evening, but a sore hamstring is a good explanation for the early exit. At this point, it seems like more of a precautionary measure than anything, but manager Dave Roberts still intends to keep him out of Sunday's contest with Arizona, per Gurnick. Forsythe's status moving forward should become clearer in the coming days.

  • Dilson Herrera 2B | CIN

Reds' Dilson Herrera: Back in action

Herrera is hitting .188/.235/.313 with one home run, one double and a 2:7 BB:K in 32 at-bats for Triple-A Louisville.

He missed the first game of the year with a shoulder injury, but is back manning the keystone for the Bats. Herrera will likely need an injury at the big-league level to see a promotion, especially if he isn't forcing the issue.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Pirates' Adam Frazier: Leading off Saturday

Frazier is starting at shortstop and leading off Saturday against the Cubs.

Frazier has never played shortstop in the big leagues before, and last played the position a couple times in 2016 in the minors, though it was his primary position in 2014. While he is a good bet to get on base at least once out of the leadoff spot against righty Jake Arrieta, his lack of power caps his realistic ceiling in daily leagues. If Frazier can prove to be a competent defender at shortstop, he could start to cut into Jordy Mercer's playing time a little, as Frazier is the superior hitter.

  • Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Logan Forsythe: Batting fifth Friday

Forsythe has dropped down to fifth in the order for Friday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Andrew Toles is set to lead it off for the Dodgers for Friday's series opener after Forsythe batted in that spot Thursday. It appears that Forsythe will continue to lead off against southpaws while Toles will hit in that spot against righties. Forsythe has just five hits in his last 25 at-bats and has struck out 10 times in that span.

  • Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Patrolling outfield Thursday

Hernandez is in the Dodgers' lineup Thursday, batting eighth and playing left field, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The Dodgers will frequently put Hernandez on the card against left-handed pitchers, as is the case Thursday as he replaces Andrew Toles against the Cubs' Brett Anderson. Hernandez holds NL-only fantasy value for this arrangement, but it's hard to count on him in most other formats.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Padres' Luis Urias: Showing off power at Double-A

Urias is hitting .190/.320/.571 with two home runs, one triple and a 1:4 K:BB in 26 plate appearances with Double-A San Antonio.

He sports a 147 wRC+ despite hitting below the Mendoza Line due to a .111 BABIP, so while the batting average is ugly, this has been an amazing start to the year for the 19-year-old middle infielder. In addition to his prodigious plate skills and sneaky pop, Urias has played four games at shortstop and just two games at the keystone. That defensive versatility could allow him to reach the majors sooner than expected.

  • Diamondbacks' Brandon Drury: Drives in another run in loss

Drury went 1-for-4 with an RBI single and a strikeout in Wednesday's loss to the Giants.

Drury left four men on base over the course of the evening, but he also managed to bring home half of the Diamondbacks' runs with one swing of the bat. Despite the relatively meager showing, the 24-year-old's batting average is still at an excellent .344 mark, and although he hasn't flashed much power in the early going, it's hard to complain about six RBI in nine games combined with such a good average.

  • Padres' Yangervis Solarte: Ends quiet Coors series strong

Solarte went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs in Wednesday's road win against the Rockies.

The 29-year-old Venezuelan wasted his first two games of this three-game set at Coors Field, going 0-for-6 with two strikeouts, but those were uncharacteristic among his performances this year. After all, Solarte is off to a big start, hitting .324 with a couple homers and 10 RBI through 10 games. He's been very hard to strike out (just three in 37 at-bats), which makes it seem like Solarte may reasonably repeat or exceed last season's .286 batting average.

  • Grant Green 2B | MIA

Nationals' Grant Green: Called up by Nationals

Green had his contract purchased by the Nationals on Wednesday and will join the team immediately, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.

Green is the beneficiary from the Nats' sudden void at shortstop, as Trea Turner and Stephen Drew are both sidelined by hamstring injuries. He is off to a rough start this season, batting .162 over 20 spring games and .154 over four games with Triple-A Syracuse, but provides major league experience at the position. Nonetheless, he needs to find some rhythm at the plate if he wants to remain with the team long-term.

  • Amed Rosario 3B | NYY

Mets' Amed Rosario: Hot start at Triple-A

Rosario went 3-for-6 with two RBI and two runs scored for Triple-A Las Vegas in Tuesday's rout of Fresno.

It's a measure of the confidence the Mets have in their No. 1 prospect that Rosario is not in Triple-A as a 21-year-old, but he's hitting third in the lineup. He's rewarded that confidence by going 11-for-26 through his first six games at the level, although Rosario is still looking for his first extra-base hit. A major-league debut this year isn't out of the question if injuries open up a spot in the Mets infield, but with Asdrubal Cabrera's contract expiring in the offseason, Rosario might be the early favorite to be the club's Opening Day shortstop in 2018.
