Stefanic is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Stefanic started the past six games and jumped up to the leadoff spot Tuesday, but he'll receive a day off after going 0-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. He's off to a strong start through eight big-league games with an .808 OPS.

Chavis is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Chavis had started in six of the Pirates' last seven games, but he largely benefited from Pittsburgh facing a lefty-heavy schedule. With right-hander Pablo Lopez on the mound for the Marlins, the righty-hitting Chavis will retreat to the bench. Yoshi Tsutsugo, Daniel Vogelbach and Kevin Newman should serve as Pittsburgh's primary starters at first base, designated hitter and second base, respectively, closing off Chavis' three main paths to a full-time role.

Donovan (illness) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

Though Donovan rejoined the Cardinals earlier this week, he'll sit out his fifth straight contest while he works to regain conditioning following a bout with a non-COVID-19-related illness. The rookie's continued absence will open up spots in the corner outfield for Corey Dickerson and Lars Nootbaar on Wednesday.

Gimenez isn't starting Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Gimenez started in the last three games and went 1-for-10 with two runs, a stolen base, a walk and four strikeouts. Owen Miller is taking over at second base and batting seventh Wednesday.

Villar will start at third base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Villar will stick in the lineup for the 10th consecutive game, the last eight of which have come at third base. After going 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and a run in Tuesday's 13-0 win, Villar has produced a strong .838 OPS, but his time as an everyday player could soon come to an end nonetheless. Evan Longoria (oblique) is on track to begin a rehab assignment Thursday and could be reinstated from the 10-day injured list immediately after the All-Star break, at which time he would displace Villar as the Giants' primary third baseman.

Gorman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Dodgers.

Gorman went deep off Dodgers starter Mitch White in the third inning. While he's homered twice in July, Gorman is slashing a meager .200/.349/.400 for the month, with an 8:11 BB:K in 12 contests. He's still playing regularly against right-handers. The infielder has a .242/.322/.438 slash line with eight homers, 21 RBI, 24 runs scored and six doubles through 171 plate appearances this year.

Arraez is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the Brewers.

The lefty-hitting Arraez will head to the bench against Brewers southpaw Aaron Ashby after going 1-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's loss. The 25-year-old has produced at least one hit in 10 of his last 11 games, batting .400 with seven doubles, nine runs and two RBI over that stretch. Jose Miranda will start at first base and bat fifth in the series finale with Milwaukee.

Gimenez went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in a 4-1 win over the White Sox during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

He went 0-for-5 in the nightcap of the twin bill. The steal was Gimenez's first since June 24 and his seventh of the season, but the 23-year-old has been struggling to string together hits lately -- he has only one multi-hit performance over his last 16 games, slashing .184/.317/.265 during that stretch.

Marte was given a rest day in Tuesday's 13-0 loss to the Giants, one day after legging out a double-play groundball, Jose M. Romero of the Arizona Republic reports. He was available off the bench.

Limited to designated hitter the last three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury that continues to linger, Marte hustled to avoid grounding into a double play Monday, which may have been the reason for Tuesday's off day. "He's giving it all he can," Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said. "We're trying to have him slow down, but he gave us everything he could. It was a big, big play. You know, we talked about winning inches here. That was one." Lovullo mentioned earlier this week that Marte may get back onto the field in a game before the All-Star break.

Semien went 2-for-6 with a two-run home run and an RBI double in a 14-7 loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.

Semien jumped on Oakland starter James Kaprielian early with a two-run long ball in the first inning and tacked on an RBI double to tie the game in the 10th. The homer was the 31-year-old's fourth of July and 11th since the beginning of June after he connected on just one through May. Semien is slashing .238/.293/.399 with 47 runs, 42 RBI and 14 stolen bases to go along with the 12 home runs.
