Nolan Gorman 2B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Playing time starting to slip
Gorman is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
Gorman is on the bench for a second straight game and the third time in the last four contests, with each absence coming against right-handed pitching. Alec Burleson -- who will start at designated hitter and will bat siixth Wednesday -- has been heating up at the plate of late and looks to have regained his standing over Gorman as the Cardinals' top DH option versus righties.

Daniel Schneemann 2B | CLE
Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Homers in nightcap
Schneemann entered Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader as a pinch hitter and went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a 9-1 win over the Nationals.
Schneemann pinch hit for third baseman Will Wilson and stayed in the game at second base. The home run was the third in the last four games and fifth overall for Schneemann, who has raked since mid-April. After opening the season with one hit in his first 19 at-bats, he's followed up by slashing .383/.442/.745 with nine extra-base hits, 10 RBI, five walks and 10 runs scored over 53 plate appearances. The 28-year-old has moved around the diamond, mostly playing second base but also getting time at third base, left field and center field.

Garrett Hampson SS | CIN
Diamondbacks' Garrett Hampson: Starts in center field
Hampson started in center field and went 0-for-2 in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Mets.
Hampson made a second consecutive start in center field in place of Alek Thomas against a left-hander. Thomas, who is routinely out of lineups against lefties, made a start against a southpaw last week, but that appears to have been a one-game event. Hampson is 0-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored in the two starts and is batting .167 overall through 17 games.

Jake Cronenworth 1B | SD
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Homers in rehab game
Cronenworth (ribs) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, three walks and three total runs in a rehab appearance with Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.
Cronenworth began a rehab assignment May 3 and went 1-for-3 for San Diego's ACL affiliate. He joined El Paso for his second minor-league game Tuesday and slugged a two-run, 417-foot homer in his third at-bat. Per MLB.com, Cronenworth's stint with the Triple-A club is expected to last only two games, and he could be activated from the injured list ahead of San Diego's series against Colorado that begins Friday.

Dylan Moore 2B | TEX
Mariners' Dylan Moore: Records steal in return
Moore went 1-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Athletics.
Moore missed the minimum 10 days on the injured list due to a mild hip strain. The utility player played the full game in right field, though it's expected he'll move around the lineup going forward. Second base and right field are his best bets for playing time to help cover the absences of Ryan Bliss (biceps) and Luke Raley (oblique). Moore is batting .284 with an .878 OPS, six home runs, 10 RBI, 16 runs scored and six steals over 24 contests this season. That kind of production, as well as multi-position eligibility, makes him a useful player to roster in all fantasy formats.

Brendan Rodgers 2B | HOU
Astros' Brendan Rodgers: Swats three-run homer
Rodgers went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.
Rodgers abruptly ended Chad Patrick's night with a three-run blast in the seventh to get the Astros on the board. It was his first home run of the season and first RBIs since April 22. He's now hit safely in five straight games, but Rodgers has largely been unable to give much production, and his home run was just his fourth extra-base hit in 77 plate appearances.

Daniel Schneemann 2B | CLE
Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Sitting down for Game 2
Schneemann isn't in the lineup for the nightcap of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals.
Schneemann went 0-for-2 with a walk and scored a run during a 10-9 loss in Game 1 and will grab a seat on the bench to finish the day. Gabriel Arias will move to fill the opening at the keystone, opening up shortstop for Brayan Rocchio.

Luisangel Acuna 2B | CHW
Mets' Luisangel Acuna: Idle Tuesday
Acuna isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
Acuna will grab a seat on the bench for the second game in a row after going 3-for-8 during Sunday's doubleheader against St. Louis. Jeff McNeil will get the nod at second base and bat seventh.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Expected to return after weekend
Manager Dave Roberts said Edman (ankle) is unlikely to come off the injured list during the series in Arizona over the weekend, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Edman is set to do some running Tuesday while the Dodgers play in Miami. His ankle has not responded as quickly as the team initially anticipated, which resulted in Hyeseong Kim getting called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City. While it Edman is eligible to return Saturday from the 10-day injured list, he is now more likely to return May 13 versus the Athletics, as the Dodgers have an off day May 12.
