The Rockies placed Estrada (wrist) on the 10-day injured list Thursday.

After suffering a non-displaced fractured right wrist when he was hit by a pitch in a Cactus League game March 20, Estrada is likely to require 4-to-8 weeks of recovery time. With Estrada on the shelf, Kyle Farmer has started at second base in three of the Rockies' first four games, while Tyler Freeman has manned the keystone in the other contest.

Donovan hit his first career home run off a left-handed pitcher Monday, taking Tyler Anderson deep in the Cardinals' loss to the Angels.

Donovan entered the contest homerless in 335 career plate appearances versus southpaws before hitting one out off Anderson in his first trip to the dish Monday. It was his only hit in five plate appearances. Donovan batted third in the Cardinals' first three games versus righties before hitting sixth against a southpaw Monday.

Lopez went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's loss to the Mets.

The second baseman gave the Marlins an early lead when he touched up David Peterson for a solo shot in the first inning. It was Lopez's second homer in five games after he hit only six in 117 contests last season, and he's come out of the gates flying with a .400 (8-for-20) batting average. Lopez never flashed much pop in the minors, but at 26 years old, he could be maturing into some extra power.

Arias started at second base and went 1-for-3 and was caught stealing in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Padres.

Arias helped cover third base for the previous game-plus while Jose Ramirez dealt with a wrist injury. Ramirez returned to the lineup Monday, and Arias was back at second base, which he'll continue to share with Daniel Schneemann.

Gimenez went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a stolen base, a walk and an additional two runs scored in Monday's 5-2 win over Washington.

Gimenez got the Blue Jays into the scoring column with a solo shot in the second inning Monday. The 26-year-old former All-Star has put together an impressive power display during the very early stages of the campaign, as he's now slashing .333/.455/.944 with three long balls, two doubles, five RBI, and seven runs scored through five games. Although the slugging percentage is unsustainable, the speedy Gimenez is certainly thriving as Toronto's cleanup batter so far.

Julien (illness) went 0-for-3 in Monday's loss to the White Sox. He entered as a pitch hitter and defensive replacement in the fourth inning.

Julien had appeared in only one game as a defensive replacement before Monday due to an illness. He played second base and then later moved to shortstop in a blowout loss -- the first time he's appeared at shortstop in his career. Julien looked set to get playing time against right-handed pitching, but hasn't had a start this season although the illness may have been a factor.

Massey went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-1 win over the Brewers. He's hitting .267 (4-for-15) in four games this season.

Massey has started all four games this season at second base as Jonathan India has played left field and third base. Massey played some left field in spring training, but so far it looks like he'll be the regular second baseman. Regardless of position, Massey looks to be in the lineup every day.

Castro went 1-for-4 in Monday's 9-0 loss to the White Sox.

Castro broke the White Sox's no-hitter bid when he singled off Mike Vasil in the seventh inning. Castro has logged a hit in each of the first four games of the 2025 season and has gone 5-for-14 with three doubles, one home run and three RBI.

The Tigers placed Torres on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left oblique strain.

Torres was removed from Friday's game versus the Dodgers and didn't play Saturday because of what the Tigers had referred to as a rib injury that initially popped up late in spring training. However, testing has apparently revealed an oblique strain. Torres will be eligible to return next week, but oblique strains typically require longer than minimum stays on the IL. Colt Keith shifted to second base in the Tigers' last game and should continue to play there while Torres is out, with Spencer Torkelson handling first base.

Rodgers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Rodgers started at second base in the Astros' first two games of the season and went 0-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts, but he's now ceded the keystone to Mauricio Dubon and Jose Altuve on consecutive days. Altuve is still expected to see the bulk of his playing time in left field this season, but Rodgers may struggle to carve out a full-time role while Dubon remains in the mix at second base.
