The Cubs optioned Triantos to Triple-A Iowa on Monday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Triantos made his major-league debut July 25 against the Pirates and appeared in seven games for the Cubs while serving in a utility role in the infield. He'll get regular playing time in Triple-A, where he's slashing .306/.344/.440 with 18 steals (in 23 attempts), seven home runs and 52 RBI over 378 plate appearances. Triantos' demotion to the minors corresponds with the Cubs recalling Kevin Alcantara and selecting Owen Miller's contract from Iowa, as well as Dansby Swanson (oblique) being placed on the 15-day injured list.

The Cubs selected Miller's contract from Triple-A Iowa on Monday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Miller inked a minor-league deal with the Cubs in early February and has spent the entire season in Triple-A, where he has a strong slash line of .299/.352/.459 with 10 steals (in 16 attempts), seven home runs and 57 RBI across 403 plate appearances. He figures to serve in a utility role in the Cubs' infield in the absence of Dansby Swanson (oblique), the latter of whom was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday.

The Athletics announced Monday that Kuroda-Grauer (testicle) has resumed taking part in light, non-impact activities, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Kuroda-Grauer will be eased back into baseball-related workouts after he required surgery July 21 to address a ruptured testicle, an injury he suffered a day earlier when he fouled a ball off of himself. The Athletics aren't putting a timeline on Kuroda-Grauer's return from the injured list, but since he hasn't yet begun a hitting, running or fielding progression, he doesn't appear on track to make it back from the shelf before the end of August.

Wetherholt is not in the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader against the Reds.

The left-handed-hitting Wetherholt will take a seat for the first game of the twin bill as the Reds send southpaw Kent Emanuel to the bump. Jose Fermin will grab a start at second base for the Cardinals. Wetherholt should be back in the lineup for Monday's nightcap.

Marte went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 5-3 loss to Atlanta.

Marte was back on the field after being removed from Friday's game with soreness in his left knee. He was held out of Saturday's game before returning Sunday. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said the knee has been bothering him since the series against the Padres two weeks ago. It's possible the knee could continue to bark, prompting more days off going forward.

Massey went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Angels.

Massey collected a trio of hits, including a sizzling solo shot to open the scoring in the fourth inning. Sunday marked the fifth time this year the second baseman has logged three hits, with two of those performances coming in this road series against the Angels. Overall, he's slashing .271/.301/.442 with 11 homers, 42 RBI, 42 runs and two stolen bases across 104 contests.

Norby went 1-for-2 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 13-7 win over the Giants.

Norby entered the game as a defensive replacement and was able to chip in a steal. He has two thefts over his last three games despite going a modest 2-for-7 in that span. For the season, he's batting .203 with a .638 OPS, eight steals, four home runs, 16 RBI and 19 runs scored over 70 games between the Rockies and the Marlins.

Amador went 1-for-1 with a three-run home run, two walks and three total runs scored in Sunday's 13-7 win over the Giants.

Amador made his first start of the year in the majors, playing at second base before being lifted for a defensive replacement in the sixth inning. Amador was called up Wednesday, but it doesn't look like the switch hitter is set to receive significant playing time just yet. He had an .802 OPS over 86 games for Triple-A Albuquerque prior to his promotion.

Ibanez and the Mariners agreed on a minor-league contract Sunday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Ibanez was released by the Mets on Thursday, and it took only a few days for him to find his next opportunity. The 33-year-old has gone 2-for-23 with five RBI and one run scored over 23 at-bats in 14 contests with the Athletics and Mets this season. Ibanez batted .269 with four home runs, 18 RBI and 15 runs scored over 31 games with Triple-A Syracuse, and he will report to Triple-A Tacoma with his new organization.

Turang (knee) is trending toward a return to the lineup Tuesday against the Mariners, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Turang missed the entirety of the Brewers' four-game series against the Dodgers while nursing left knee discomfort, but manager Pat Murphy announced after Sunday's 6-2 win that the second baseman is lined up to play in the team's series opener with Seattle. Turang has batted .245 with three doubles, eight RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base over 49 at-bats in 12 contests in August.
