Jose Iglesias SS | SD
Mets' Jose Iglesias: Launches first homer
Iglesias went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's extra-inning win over the Nationals.
Getting the start at second base against southpaw MacKenzie Gore and batting eighth, Iglesias didn't make his mark until the 10th inning, when he drove the first pitch Jordan Weems threw over the center-field fence to wrap up a six-run frame for the Mets. While his first homer of the season came against a right-hander pitcher, Iglesias has thrived in his short-side platoon role, producing a 1.147 OPS in 29 plate appearances against lefties since joining New York's big-league roster.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa CF | BOS
Blue Jays' Isiah Kiner-Falefa: Undergoes MRI on knee
Kiner-Falefa is awaiting results of an MRI on his left knee, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.
Kiner-Falefa was a late scratch from Monday's lineup against the Astros after feeling something in his knee while stretching pregame. Ernie Clement was in the lineup for the Blue Jays on Monday at third base, where Kiner-Falefa has been seeing most of his playing time. It's possible an update on Kiner-Falefa's status will be available later Monday.

Tony Kemp: Free agent after opting out
The Twins released Kemp on Monday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Kemp had a July 1 opt-out clause in his minor-league contract and decided to exercise it. The utility player slashed .279/.358/.436 with six homers in 46 games with Triple-A St. Paul. He'll now look to latch on in another organization.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa CF | BOS
Blue Jays' Isiah Kiner-Falefa: Late scratch from lineup Monday
Kiner-Falefa was scratched from the lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Astros due to a left knee injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Kiner-Falefa played the full nine innings in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Yankees and wasn't known to be dealing with any sort of injury leading up to Monday's 3:07 p.m. ET opening pitch, so he may have hurt his knee at some point during pregame warmups. The Blue Jays will likely shed more light on Kiner-Falefa's situation later Monday. Kevin Kiermaier was a late addition to the Toronto lineup as a replacement for Kiner-Falefa, who saw his 13-game hit streak come to an end with an 0-for-4 showing Sunday.

Drury (illness) went 0-for-2 with a strikeout in a loss to Detroit on Sunday.
Drury sat out nine straight games due to an illness before returning to action Sunday. He didn't start but entered as a pinch hitter in the sixth inning and remained in the contest for another at-bat as the team's DH. Per Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com, Drury is expected to return to the starting lineup Tuesday against the Athletics.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Contributes RBI, steal in loss
Polanco went 1-for-4 with an RBI single and a stolen base in a loss to the Twins on Sunday.
Polanco came through with a clutch knock against his former team in the seventh inning, plating Luke Raley to knot the score at 3-3. The veteran infielder, who's now hit safely in four straight, also added his second steal of the campaign, but he couldn't capitalize on another RBI opportunity in the ninth when he left the bases loaded on a game-ending flyout.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Rare day off Monday
Altuve is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Toronto, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Altuve was ejected following the seventh inning of Sunday's 10-5 win over the Mets in 11 innings for arguing with the umpire that he fouled a ball off his foot, and he'll now receive some additional rest in what will be just his third day out of the lineup all season. Mauricio Dubon will cover second base Monday while Altuve sits in the series opener.

Zack Gelof 2B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Homers for team's only run
Gelof went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.
Gelof gave the A's their lone run of the day when he took Brandon Pfaadt deep to right-center in the fifth. It was his ninth long ball of the year and sixth overall in June. Overall, it's been a disappointing season for the second-year player, but his bat woke up a bit over the latter part of the month. In 11 games since June 18, Gelof slashed .275/.310/.625 with four homers, eight RBI and eight runs scored, which has been his most productive stretch of the season thus far.

Amador (oblique) was sent to Double-A Hartford on Sunday to begin a rehab assignment.
Amador has been on the 10-day injured list for a little over a week with a strained oblique but has been cleared to return to game action. He should be ready to be activated soon, but with Brendan Rodgers beating him back from the IL, Amador is likely to remain with Hartford upon his activation rather than returning to the Rockies.
