  • Brewers' Owen Miller: Recalled from Nashville

The Brewers recalled Miller from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

With Christian Yelich (back) headed for the IL, Miller will come up from the minors to give the Brewers an additional bench piece that is capable of fielding numerous positions. The 27-year-old has gotten off to a strong start at Triple-A, slashing .353/.414/.451 through 58 plate appearances, though his stint in Milwaukee will likely come to an end once Yelich comes off the injured list.

  • Angels' Brandon Drury: Available off bench

Drury (hamstring) said he will be available off the bench Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Drury is not in the lineup after having to exit Monday's game with a hamstring issue. However, he tested out the hamstring with a pregame workout and contends that he's fine to play, if needed. Luis Rengifo is at second base Tuesday and Miguel Sano is at first.

  • Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL

Braves' Ozzie Albies: Out with fractured toe

Atlanta placed Albies on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a fractured right great toe.

Albies suffered the injury when he was hit by a pitch Monday against the Astros, though he never exited the contest. The 27-year-old will now be sidelined for at least the next 10 days, but the absence could be longer depending how the toe heals. Luis Guillorme and David Fletcher, who was added to the major-league roster Tuesday, are likely to see time at second base while Albies is out.

  • Angels' Brandon Drury: Sitting out with hamstring issue

Drury is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rays after exiting Monday's contest with a hamstring injury, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

It's unclear at this point whether it could potentially be a multi-game absence for Drury, who was lifted for a pinch runner Monday following his last plate appearance. For now, consider him day-to-day. Luis Rengifo is handling second base Tuesday.

  • Curtis Mead 3B | CHW

Rays' Curtis Mead: Not in Tuesday's lineup

Mead is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Angels.

Mead had started six of the last seven games, including three straight, at second base since Brandon Lowe (oblique) went down, but he will yield to Amed Rosario in this one. The 23-year-old Mead has managed just a .577 OPS this season and is still looking for his first RBI.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Held out again with illness

Rodgers (illness) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Philadelphia.

Rodgers was a late scratch from Monday's lineup due to illness and still isn't feeling up to playing. Alan Trejo will again filling in at second base for the Rockies. Trejo went 1-for-3 at the plate in Monday's loss to the Phillies.

  • Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA

Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Still on mend from foot infection

Edwards (foot) is healing up after a recent follow-up appointment with a podiatrist, but he remains without a clear timeline to resume baseball activities, MLB.com reports.

Edwards didn't appear in any Grapefruit League games after March 5, but he resumed hitting and throwing at the Marlins' spring training complex in late March before he was later revealed to be dealing with a foot infection. He's been shut down from activities ever since, but after his recent appointment was apparently positive, he could be cleared to start working out again soon. Edwards likely won't be ready to return from the 10-day injured list for at least another couple of weeks.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Nabs first steal of year

McNeil went 0-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Pirates.

The 32-year-old sparked a game-winning rally in the eighth inning by getting to first base after a third strike wild pitch by Aroldis Chapman, eventually stealing third and coming around to score on a Harrison Bader double. The stolen base was McNeil's first of the season, but he has yet to get going at the plate, slashing just .204/.328/.286 through 15 games with a homer, five RBI and eight runs.

  • Luis Arraez 2B | SF

Marlins' Luis Arraez: Three hits in loss

Arraez went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Monday's loss to the Giants.

All three hits were singles, but that's par for the course for Arraez. The reigning NL batting champ had a slow start to the season but quickly found his form, and he's hit safely in five straight games while going 8-for-20. The surge has lifted Arraez's slash line to .284/.368/.343 with 12 runs scored, but he has zero homers or steals and only one RBI.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Sits Monday with illness

Rodgers was scratched from the lineup ahead of Monday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Phillies due to an illness, MLB.com reports.

An explanation behind Rodgers' late scratch wasn't immediately provided leading up to the opening pitch, but the Rockies later relayed that the 27-year-old took part in a pregame workout and was held out after feeling under the weather. Alan Trejo picked up the start at second base in Rodgers' stead, going 1-for-3 at the dish.
