Jose Caballero 2B | NYY
Rays' Jose Caballero: Strong start to time with Rays
Caballero went 1-for-3 with a stolen base Sunday against the Blue Jays.
Caballero has opened the season as the Rays' starting shortstop in the absence of Taylor Walls (hip) and has performed well. He has at least one hit in all four games and has also scored twice while driving in three. Caballero also swiped his first base of the campaign after stealing 26 bags in only 280 plate appearances in 2023.

Thairo Estrada 2B | COL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Launches home run against Padres
Estrada went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against San Diego.
Estrada slugged his first homer of the 2024 campaign, tagging Michael King in the fourth inning to plate Michael Conforto. The second baseman has tallied an RBI in three straight games and has hit safely in each of his four appearances this season.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Two hits, three RBI in loss
Semien went 2-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 9-5 loss to the Cubs.
Semien notched a two-RBI single in the bottom of the second inning before later adding an RBI single, coming around to score on a triple from Wyatt Langford. Through three games in 2024, the second baseman has gone 4-for-13 with a double, two walks, four RBI and two runs scored.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Clubs first homer of 2024
Altuve went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Sunday in a loss against the Yankees.
Altuve got on the board in the home run department, taking Clarke Schmidt yard in the third inning. He reached three times in total, tagging Schmidt again in the sixth for a double and eventually coming around to score before walking in the seventh inning. Altuve has registered a hit in all four appearances this season, batting 6-for-18 (.333) with three runs scored and two strikeouts.

Enmanuel Valdez 2B | PIT
Red Sox's Enmanuel Valdez: Homers in win
Valdez went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win over Seattle.
Valdez had gone 0-for-6 over the past two games before launching a three-run shot off Bryce Miller in the fourth inning. Through four appearances this season, Valdez is 2-for-12 with one extra-base knock. He appears to be getting fairly regular playing time, at least while Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) is out.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Hits second homer, drives in three
Albies went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.
Albies opened the game's scoring with a two-run home run off Ranger Suarez in the first inning. He later added a third RBI to his performance when he singled home Jarred Kelenic in the eighth. Albies should continue providing plenty of power at the keystone after smashing 33 home runs last year and now going deep in two straight.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Not starting against lefty
Lux is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Lux will once again sit down against a left-handed starter as Steven Matz takes the mound for St. Louis. Mookie Betts will shift to the keystone while Miguel Rojas receives a start at shortstop.

Michael Stefanic 2B | TOR
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Resumes baseball activity
Stefanic (quadriceps) has resumed light baseball activity at the Angels' training complex in Arizona, MLB.com reports.
Stefanic landed on the injured list March 28 after feeling discomfort in his left quad during the Angels' first spring training game. He initially resumed running and baseball activity but suffered a setback in mid-March and subsequently underwent an MRI that revealed a quad strain. It's unclear how long Stefanic will be out of action, and there's no guarantee that he'll have a spot on the big-league roster once he's ready to return.

Josh Rojas 3B | CHW
Mariners' Josh Rojas: Multi-hit effort in win
Rojas went 2-for-4 with a run in an extra-inning win over the Red Sox on Saturday.
Rojas was the only Mariner to record more than one hit in the low-scoring marathon affair. The 29-year-old has hit safely in each of his first two games, and he should continue seeing fairly regular playing time at both second base and third base moving forward.

Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: In starting lineup
Rengifo is in the lineup Sunday against Baltimore for his first start of the season.
Regnifo gets his first start of the season at third base while batting sixth with Miguel Sano on the bench and Anthony Rendon sliding into the designated hitter spot. Rengifo was not in the Opening Day lineup Thursday, though it's expected that he'll be a regular in the lineup against lefties. However, righty Tyler Wells is on the mound for the Orioles on Sunday.
