  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Knocks three hits

Ramirez went 3-for-6 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 12-8 win over the Orioles.

Ramirez remains one of the Guardians' top hitters. He's gone 10-for-29 (.345) with four doubles and four RBI during his active six-game hitting streak. With the team around him struggling, he's taken a slight knock to his counting stats with 29 RBI and 28 runs scored this season. He's added six home runs, five stolen bases, 16 doubles, two triples and a .277/.348/.465 slash line through 52 contests. While Ramirez's .813 OPS is his lowest since 2019, he's more than capable of a strong stretch of power hitting to get him back in line with his career norms.

  • Taylor Walls SS | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Tallies 15th stolen base

Walls went 0-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base Wednesday against the Cubs.

Walls got a rare start at shortstop with Wander Franco (shoulder) sidelined, though he has been a regular in the lineup playing both second and third base. He tallied his 15th stolen base of the season Wednesday, six of which have come in his last five starts. Walls' primary path to fantasy value is his speed, though he also has 29 runs scored across 44 games, aided by a strong .349 on-base percentage.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Rolling into June

Jung went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Tigers.

Jung finished the month of May with a .917 OPS and heads into June on a 14-game hitting streak, during which he's posted a .434/.492/.792 line. The whole Texas lineup hit during May, leading MLB with a .286 average, and Jung was one of four Rangers to post more than 30 hits.

  • Jake Burger 1B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Appears at second base

Burger went 1-for-1 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Angels.

Burger was out of the lineup for the second time in the last 13 games, though he entered the game at second base in the eighth inning and slugged his 11th homer of the season. He had been starting exclusively at designated hitter since Yoan Moncada's return in mid-May, but it appears that the team may be searching for additional ways to get Burger playing time.

  • Royce Lewis 3B | MIN

Twins' Royce Lewis: Sitting out Wednesday

Lewis is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Houston.

Lewis started the first two games after coming off the injured list Monday but will begin this one on the bench. Willi Castro will be at the hot corner for Minnesota.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Targeting next week for return

Angels manager Phil Nevin said Wednesday that Rendon (groin) is aiming to return from the 10-day injured list during the team's homestand that begins next week, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Rendon has been upping the intensity of his workouts of late, although he has yet to do any hitting on the field or running the bases. He should be able to perform those activities soon, and it doesn't appear as though he'll need a rehab assignment before being activated. Rendon was hitting .301 in 30 games on the season prior to straining his groin in mid-May, though he had hit just one home run.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Takes seat Wednesday

Urias is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against Cleveland, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Urias will head to the bench after he went 1-for-7 with a double, a run scored and two strikeouts over the first two games of the series. Anthony Santander will slot in at designated hitter while Ryan O'Hearn enters the lineup in right field and bats seventh in the series finale with the Guardians.

  • Bryan Ramos 3B | BAL

White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Returns from IL

Double-A Birmingham reinstated Ramos (groin) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday.

The 21-year-old made his 2023 debut for Birmingham in Tuesday's 10-6 win over Mississippi, starting at third base and going 0-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. After battling a groin injury coming out of spring training, Ramos was cleared to head out on a rehab assignment last week with Single-A Kannapolis and went 2-for-16 with a home run.

  • Jake Burger 1B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Gets breather Wednesday

Burger is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Angels.

Burger will take a seat after he went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's 7-3 win. Eloy Jimenez will take over at designated hitter while Gavin Sheets enters the lineup in right field and bats eighth as the White Sox attempt to take the rubber match with Los Angeles.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Leaves yard Tuesday

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

Bregman took Joe Ryan deep to left center to kick things off in the second and later drove in a another run on a base hit in the third. He has four multi-hit efforts over his last eight games and is slashing .353/.371/.500 with seven RBI, six runs and a 1:5 BB:K over that span. Even after a sluggish start to the year, Bregman has still displayed incredible discipline at the plate. He sits at a 1.12 BB/K, which ranks fourth in the majors among qualified hitters. For the year, the 29-year-old is slashing .240/.335/.385 with seven homers, 29 RBI, 33 runs and a 28:25 BB:K over 239 plate appearances.
