Devers went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-1 win over the White Sox.

Devers' fourth-inning blast gave the Red Sox the lead for good. The third baseman has hit a small skid, going 5-for-30 (.167) across his last eight games. He's up to 18 homers and 60 RBI through 73 contests, but his .239/.302/.488 slash line is unusually poor. Despite his struggles at the plate, Devers still has a firm grip on a starting job.

The Angels acquired Escobar and cash considerations from the Mets on Friday for pitchers Landon Marceaux and Coleman Crow.

The Mets will pay all but the prorated minimum salary on the remaining $9.5 million owed to Escobar for 2023, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. The move comes shortly after it was announced that Gio Urshela was going to miss the rest of the season due to a fracture pelvis. In 40 games with the Mets, Escobar slashed .236/.286/.409 with four homers and two stolen bases over 120 plate appearances. He should see time at third and second base for the Halos, and due to a plethora of injuries around the infield could be a regular for the foreseeable future.

Donaldson isn't starting Friday against the Rangers.

Donaldson is currently in the middle of an 0-for-13 stretch at the plate across his last four games, so he'll get a day off Friday to regroup. DJ LeMahieu will take over at third base and bat fifth.

Suarez went 2-for-3 with a two-run double, two walks and a run in a win over the Yankees on Thursday.

Suarez played a key role in the Mariners' four-run first inning, plating Ty France and Teoscar Hernandez with his 10th double of the campaign. Suarez had been mired in a 4-for-25 funk over his previous seven games prior to Thursday's breakout, and after his timely two-bagger, he's now sporting a .333 batting average and .431 wOBA across 91 plate appearances with men in scoring position this season.

Bride went 1-for-1 with a walk before being replaced by pinch runner Tyler Wade in a loss to the Guardians on Thursday.

While his final line doesn't jump off the page, the fact Bride reached base twice after hitting .095 (2-for-21) over his previous nine games is encouraging. In fairness, the young infielder may have been running into bad luck during the skid, as his 20.0 percent line-drive rate should have netted much more than a .133 BABIP. Bride still sports some decent metrics despite his .222 batting average and .244 SLG, as a 12.3 percent walk rate has helped him to a .357 OBP, but Thursday marked his first start since June 17 and his luck may need to turn to earn more playing time.

Peraza hasn't played since June 18 due to an apparent injury, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Peraza spent a little over two weeks with the Yankees before being placed on the IL with an ankle injury in early May. He was reinstated May 19 and immediately optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where he has remained since. However, Peraza is now dealing with an apparent injury, though the organization hasn't disclosed the nature of the issue. According to Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune, Peraza has undergone some tests, and the team is hoping that he's dealing with nothing more than soreness.

Garcia went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs, an RBI and three stolen bases in Thursday's 6-5 win against Tampa Bay.

Garcia reached three times and took full advantage on the basepaths, swiping multiple bags for the first time as a big-leaguer. His speed was critical in creating the game-winning run, as he stole second and third after walking to lead off the ninth and came home to score on an infield single. Garcia's acumen as a base-stealer is easy to see -- he went 39-for-47 on theft attempts in the minors last year and is a perfect 10-for-10 in the majors this season. He's been swinging a hot bat of late, going 17-for-47 (.362) with a home run, four RBI, nine runs and five steals over his past 12 games.

Mead (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment in the Florida Complex League on Thursday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.

One of the top hitters in the minors, Mead has not played since April 29 due to a wrist injury after getting hit by a pitch. Given the length of his absence, there may have been a broken bone in his hand/wrist. While Mead could still make his big-league debut this summer, he hadn't gotten off to a great start with Triple-A Durham prior to the injury, slashing .221/.286/.360 with two home runs in 22 games.

Chapman went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, a double and two runs scored in Wednesday's victory over Miami.

Chapman led off the second inning with a double, which kick-started a five-run frame for Toronto as they jumped on Sandy Alcantara early. The third baseman then added a leadoff homer in the eighth, his 10th of the season, giving the Blue Jays a late insurance run. It was a nice showing for Chapman, who is still hitting just .206 in June after the two-hit performance, though he's recorded two hits and a walk in back-to-back games now.

Bregman went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 10-8 win over the Mets.

The third baseman has snapped out of a brief 2-for-22 slump with eight hits in the last four games. Bregman's .740 OPS on the year would be a career worst, but he's been mostly productive over the last month, slashing .301/.368/.476 over his last 26 games with four homers, two steals, 13 runs and 21 RBI.
