The Blue Jays are expected to select McAdoo's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

McAdoo has spent the entire season up to this point at Buffalo, slashing .250/.356/.436 with eight home runs, 27 RBI, 31 runs scored and six steals through 202 plate appearances. The 24-year-old primarily operates as a corner infielder but can also cover second base in a pinch, so he'll give Toronto infield depth while presumably serving as a bench piece. His first appearance with the Jays will mark his MLB debut.

Paredes is not in the Astros' starting lineup against the Rangers on Wednesday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Paredes will get a breather after going 0-for-8 over the first two games of the series against Texas. Brice Matthews and Braden Shewmake will start at second and third base, respectively, in Wednesday's game.

Mayo (back) is serving as the Orioles' designated hitter and batting fifth against the Rays on Wednesday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Mayo was out of the Orioles' lineup in each of the team's last four games due to back soreness. He'll be eased back into action as the DH in Wednesday's game, but he could return to fielding duties for Baltimore's series opener against Toronto on Thursday. Mayo has gone 11-for-52 (.212) with two home runs, six RBI and a 4:19 BB:K since May 1.

Walton will start at third base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The Angels will include Walton in the lineup for the fourth time in five games since he was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday. Though Nolan Schanuel's (ankle) move to the injured list Wednesday will open up an everyday role in the infield, Walton -- who has gone 1-for-12 with a 1:4 BB:K since his call-up -- may need to improve his production to hold off Nick Madrigal for playing time at third base.

The Angels selected Madrigal's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

Madrigal earned a promotion after slashing .275/.353/.366 with two home runs and an 18:8 BB:K over 38 games with Salt Lake. With Vaughn Grissom needed at first base to cover for the injured Nolan Schanuel (ankle), Madrigal will provide depth at second and third base.

Lopez signed a one-year contract with the Rangers on Wednesday.

Lopez elected free agency earlier this week after being waived by the Cubs and quickly reached an agreement with the Rockies on a minor-league deal, but he never finalized the contract with Colorado before the big-league opportunity with Texas became available. Though he'll enter the lineup right away for the Rangers as their starting second baseman and No. 9 hitter in Wednesday's game against the Astros, he's unlikely to see consistent at-bats with Texas. Instead, Lopez is expected to provide most of his value as a late-inning defensive replacement who's capable of covering three infield positions.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Wednesday that Barger (elbow) will resume throwing "probably [Thursday]," Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Barger's recovery from right elbow inflammation has come along more slowly than expected, but he's poised to take a big step forward Thursday. He's already missed more than two weeks and could require a rehab assignment before returning to the Blue Jays' active roster.

Jung went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's 10-7 win over the Astros.

Jung was back in the lineup and the middle of the order after missing two games due to a sore left shoulder. The third baseman opened the season in the lower third of the order following a disappointing 2025, but a resurgence that began in late April has moved him to the upper half and often to the Rangers' cleanup spot. Jung is slashing .303/.360/.459 over 49 games.

Rosario went 4-for-6 with two home runs, three total runs and four total RBI in a 15-1 rout of the Royals on Tuesday.

New York put on an explosive offensive performance in the victory, racking up 24 hits, including six homers. Rosario led the way with his two long balls, both of which were two-run shots. The utility man finished with his first multi-hit game since April 18, and the homer was his first since April 22. Rosario has played sporadically this season but has performed well when called upon, slashing .279/.316/.547 with six homers, 13 runs and 20 RBI over 95 plate appearances.

Keith went 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Angels.

Keith had been slumping a bit with a .160 batting average across his last 10 games, but he snapped out of it with his first multi-hit effort since May 12 before getting lifted for a pinch hitter when Los Angeles turned to lefty reliever Mitch Farris in the fifth. The triple was also the first of the season for the 24-year-old Detroit infielder. Keith is now batting .289 overall, though he rarely gets to face southpaws, which limits his fantasy ceiling.
