  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Rays' Matt Duffy: Returns to lineup Sunday

Duffy (ankle) will start at third base and bat second for Sunday's game at Minnesota, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy left Saturday's game with the injury after appearing to roll his ankle on a swing but won't be held out of Sunday's lineup. If there were any concern from the Rays, they would undoubtedly give the 27-year-old an additional day of rest leading into the All-Star break, which bodes well for the severity of the injury.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Notches 29th homer

Ramirez 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored Saturday against the Yankees.

Ramirez took CC Sabathia deep in the first inning to record his 29th home run of the season, tying his mark for the entire 2017 season. He's been on an incredible tear over the past five games, launching five homers to go along with 11 RBI and seven runs scored.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Could play Sunday

Manager Rick Renteria said that Moncada (knee) could play Sunday, James Fegan of The Athletic Chicago reports.

If there were any concern whatsoever regarding Moncada's knee, the White Sox would likely hold him out and extend his All-Star break. However, it seems the knee bruise is minor enough to where it may not even cost Moncada a start. He collided with the Royals' Paulo Orlando on a pickoff play at second base Saturday.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Rays' Matt Duffy: Exits with apparent injury

Duffy left Saturday's game with an apparent right ankle injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy went down after appearing to roll his ankle on a swing, and while he stayed in the game initially, Daniel Robertson eventually replaced him at third base. The Rays figure to subject Duffy, who has an extensive injury history, to a number of tests to determine the full extent of the issue.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: X-rays negative

X-rays on Moncada's right knee were negative.

Fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief after Moncada bumped knees with the Royals' Paulo Orlando on a pickoff play at second base Saturday. Officially, Moncada's day-to-day with a bruised knee. It would make sense if the White Sox gave him Sunday off, effectively extending his All-Star break.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Leaves game early

Moncada exited Saturday's game after bumping knees with Paulo Orlando on a pickoff play at second base, James Fegan of The Athletic Chicago reports.

Moncada went down in a heap following the play, although he managed to walk off the field under his own power. More news on his status should be released in the near future. Daniel Palka entered the game following Moncada's injury.

Twins' Royce Lewis: Promoted to High-A

Lewis moved up to High-A Fort Myers on Saturday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Lewis put together a solid .315/.368/.485 slash line with nine homers and 53 RBI over 75 games at Low-A Cedar Rapids in 2018. He appears to be firing on all cylinders after suffering a knee injury in mid-June.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Sets new career HR mark

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Friday's 3-0 win over the Tigers.

Bregman, who had one home run through the first 34 games, established a new career mark with his 20th homer. His transformation from minor-league shortstop to power-hitting corner infielder is now complete after Bregman was selected earlier this week to participate in the Home Run Derby as part of the All-Star Game festivities.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Cleared of structural damage to shoulder

Devers underwent an MRI on Thursday that revealed no structural damage to his left shoulder, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. The third baseman is hopeful to return from the 10-day disabled list when first eligible in the Red Sox's second game out of the All-Star break July 21 against the Tigers.

Shortly after being placed on the DL, Devers revealed that his shoulder had been bothering him for about three and a half weeks, so the Red Sox will take advantage of the upcoming break and give the 21-year-old some time to recover. With the Red Sox labeling Devers' injury as inflammation, it's expected that he'll resume baseball activities within a few days before reclaiming the everyday role at the hot corner next weekend. If Devers meets his goal of returning July 21, he would only miss six games in total due to the injury.
