Chapman went 3-for-6 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in a 14-1 victory against the Pirates on Friday.

The 26-year-old has always been an underrated fantasy contributor, but early this season, he's been one of the top third basemen in the league. Chapman is 5-for-10 in the last two games, which has raised his season batting average to an even .300. He possesses a great eye, which is evident by his 16 walks versus only 17 strikeouts, and yet he also has nine home runs. Chapman is also slashing .300/.390/.600 with 18 extra-base hits, 22 RBI and 18 runs in 141 plate appearances this year.

Groshans was placed on the minor-league injured list with general soreness in his left foot, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Groshans was tearing it up with Low-A Lansing prior to landing on the IL, slashing .342/.429/.507 with a pair of homers and a stolen base through 19 games. Fortunately, the injury isn't thought to be anything that will force the 19-year-old to miss an extended chunk of time.

LeMahieu (knee) is out of the lineup against the Twins on Friday.

The infielder said earlier in the week he was feeling "really close" to being able to make his return, but he'll miss at least one more game as he continues to deal with knee inflammation. Gio Urshela will man the hot corner, where LeMahieu had been regularly starting in the absence of Miguel Andujar (shoulder).

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the Twins.

Bregman launched his sixth home run of the season in the first inning off Jose Berrios. He now has two home runs in his past three games but prior to that had failed to record an extra-base hit for five consecutive contests. All told, his .260/.392/.481 line through 130 plate appearances is largely in line with expectations, especially when considering his strikeout rate is in line with his career norms.

Burger (Achilles) is playing in simulated games at extended spring training, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Burger is slowly working his way back from a ruptured Achilles that he suffered in February of 2018. Barring any setbacks, the 2017 first-round pick could be cleared to play in live games at extended spring training in the near future, which would likely mark the final step in his recovery process before he's cleared to report to a minor-league affiliate.

Duffy (hamstring) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment with High-A Charlotte on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy has been sidelined all season due to a hamstring injury, but he's finally been cleared to head out on a rehab assignment after getting a sufficient amount of at-bats in during extended spring training games over the past few days. The third baseman is expected to spend the next 7-to-10 days with the Stone Crabs before being reevaluated.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a double and a run in a loss to the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Chapman got the new month off to a strong start with his second two-hit effort of the last three games. The 26-year-old third baseman has reached safely in four of his last five contests overall, and he's coming off a productive month of April during which he drove in 16 runs with the aid of 12 extra-base hits (five doubles, seven home runs).

LeMahieu (knee) could return to action as early as Friday against the Twins, Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports.

LeMahieu has missed the Yankees' last two games after fouling a ball off his knee, causing it to become inflamed, but the veteran infielder told reporters Wednesday that he's feeling "really close" to being ready to go and he's been jogging and taking batting practice this week, per Sanchez. The Yankees have the day off Thursday, so if LeMahieu does return Friday it would only be a two-game absence. He's off to a nice start at the plate, slashing .310/.363/.430 over 100 at-bats.

Astudillo (hamstring) ran in the outfield Wednesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Astudillo said he felt good afterwards. The 27-year-old landed on the injured list over the weekend with a hamstring strain, but it doesn't sound like his stay on the shelf will be an extended one.

LeMahieu (knee) remains out of the lineup Wednesday against Arizona.

LeMahieu left Sunday's game against the Giants with knee inflammation and has been out of action since then. Tyler Wade will play second base Wednesday.
