Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Blasts 11th homer in loss
Muncy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Monday's loss to the Giants.
Muncy homered for the second consecutive day, blasting an opposite-field solo shot in the sixth inning after already driving in a run with a bases-loaded single in the fourth frame. The third baseman owns an .862 OPS through 10 games in May and has been even better across the entirety of 2026. Through 39 games, he's slashing .280/.375/.568 with 11 homers, 17 RBI and 27 runs scored.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Giants' Rafael Devers: Goes deep in win
Devers went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI, two additional runs scored and two walks in Monday's victory over the Dodgers.
Devers opened the scoring by crushing a solo homer off Roki Sasaki in the second inning before later drawing a bases-loaded walk against Alex Vesia in the seventh frame. Monday marked another productive effort for the 29-year-old slugger, who has found his footing in May, slashing .364/.436/.758 with three homers, four doubles, seven RBI and eight runs through the first 10 games of the month. His season-long .682 OPS remains underwhelming, but after an ice-cold start to the campaign, Devers appears to be trending in the right direction.

Ildemaro Vargas 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ildemaro Vargas: Scuffling since streak
Vargas went 0-for-4 in Monday's 1-0 win over Texas.
Vargas, who opened the season with a 24-game hitting streak, was held hitless for a second consecutive game and is just 5-for-36 (.139) in the nine games since the hit streak ended. A regression was to be expected, but that won't cost him the starting job at first base. The Diamondbacks announced Monday that Carlos Santana aggravated his adductor injury Sunday and will not be returning this week to challenge Vargas for playing time.

John Gil 3B | ATL
Braves' John Gil: Shining at High-A
Gil went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs and a third run scored for High-A Rome on Sunday.
The shortstop prospect will turn 20 years old Thursday, but Gil hasn't looked anything like an overmatched teenager in his first look at High-A pitching. Through 31 games this season, he's slashing .305/.403/.508 with six homers, 20 steals in 23 attempts, and an impressive 21:26 BB:K. Atlanta seems likely to challenge him with a promotion to Double-A fairly soon, and Gil should rocket up prospect lists this summer if he keeps flashing five-category upside.

Ildemaro Vargas 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ildemaro Vargas: Scores twice in win
Vargas went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Mets.
Vargas was involved in the offense for a second straight game after driving in both runs in Saturday's 2-0 win. The utility infielder is expected to stick at first base even with the pending activation of Carlos Santana (thigh). Vargas is slashing .341/.366/.571 with six home runs, a team-high 24 RBI and 21 runs scored over 32 games.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Swats 10th homer
Muncy went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-2 loss to Atlanta.
Muncy provided the Dodgers' lone runs of the game with his eighth-inning homer. The third baseman had gone 11 contests without a long ball prior to Sunday, a noticeable drop in power compared to how he started the season. He's batting .273 with a .919 OPS, 10 homers, 15 RBI, 26 runs scored, five doubles and no stolen bases across 38 games this year.

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Taking seat against southpaw
Baty is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Baty will hit the bench for the series finale while the Diamondbacks send left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez to the hill. Andy Ibanez will cover third base in Baty's stead.
-
Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Cubs' Alex Bregman: Given day off
Bregman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
The third baseman will get a breather a day after the Cubs' 10-game winning streak came to an end. Bregman didn't contribute much to the club's heater by batting just .222 with seven runs and three RBI during the streak before going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts Saturday. Matt Shaw will handle the hot corner in Bregman's place.

TJ Rumfield 1B | COL
Rockies' TJ Rumfield: Heading to bench Sunday
Rumfield is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
With southpaw Cristopher Sanchez on the bump for Philadelphia, the Rockies will stock up on right-handed bats in the lineup, with Rumfield joining fellow left-handed hitters Edouard Julien, Troy Johnston and Brett Sullivan on the bench. Willi Castro will receive the nod at first base.

Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI
Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Sitting after four straight starts
Sosa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Sosa will hit the bench after starting four straight games and going 3-for-15 with three RBI and one run. Two of those starts came at third base in place of Alec Bohm, but Sosa may not be in line for much playing time at the hot corner after Bohm finally busted out with two home runs and a double in his return to the lineup Saturday.
