Braves' Austin Riley: Gets day off Thursday
Riley is not in the lineup Thursday against the Cardinals.

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Nabs steal in Wednesday's win
Arenado went 2-for-5 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Wednesday's 11-6 win over Atlanta.
Arenado worked the back end of a double steal with Nolan Gorman in the first inning. Prior to Wednesday, Arenado had gone just 3-for-35 across his previous nine contests. The veteran third baseman's slump has seen his slash line sag to .270/.319/.479 on the year, and he's added 26 home runs, 86 RBI, 65 runs scored and three stolen bases over 132 contests.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Giants' J.D. Davis: Ends power drought
Davis went 3-for-5 with a double, a two-run home run and two additional runs scored in Tuesday's 11-8 loss to the Cubs.
The 30-year-old led a four-homer barrage for the Giants, taking Hayden Wesneski deep in the sixth inning to give San Francisco a 6-4 lead, but Chicago quickly answered back and never trailed again. Davis snapped a 24-game power drought with the performance, a stretch in which he'd managed only three doubles and four RBI, but he's been showing signs of life lately -- including Tuesday's effort, he's batting .316 (12-for-28) over his last 12 contests.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Out with tweaked shoulder
Muncy (shoulder) is out of the lineup Tuesday at Miami.
Muncy was lifted from Sunday's series finale against Atlanta after tweaking his left shoulder on a swing, though there doesn't seem to be much concern that it will be a long-term injury. Enrique Hernandez is playing third base for the Dodgers on Tuesday as Will Smith takes a turn in the DH role and Austin Barnes handles the catching duties.
