Nick Yorke 3B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Yorke: Drawing second straight start
Yorke will start at third base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Tigers.
Yorke will be awarded a second straight start at the hot corner after he shined in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Red Sox upon being called from Triple-A Indianapolis earlier in the day. While batting out of the No. 7 spot, Yorke went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and three RBI. Yorke will likely handle a utility role while he's up with the Pirates and should get most of his playing time against left-handed pitching.

Nick Gonzales 3B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Making return to starting nine Monday
Gonzales (face) will start at second base and bat cleanup in Monday's game against the Tigers.
The Pirates kept Gonzales out of the lineup for the final two games of their weekend series with the Red Sox after he exited Friday's 8-4 win due to a facial contusion, which he sustained when he was hit in the helmet by a pitch. The 27-year-old appears to be feeling better after a couple of days of rest and shift over from his usual spot at third base to cover the keystone in place of Brandon Lowe, who will serve as the Pirates' designated hitter Monday.

Bo Bichette 3B | NYM
Mets' Bo Bichette: Bangs out three hits Sunday
Bichette went 3-for-3 with a walk and a triple in Sunday's win over the Nationals.
The former Blue Jay continues to surge as he's grown more comfortable in his new jersey. Bichette sat with a .583 OPS at the end of May; since then, he's produced an .808 mark, and he's found another gear in August with a .345/.410/.545 slash line, along with two homers, seven runs and nine RBI in 14 contests.

Giants' Buddy Kennedy: Logs RBI in loss
Kennedy went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 13-7 loss to the Rockies.
Kennedy singled in the second inning before coming around to score, and he also drew a bases-loaded walk in the fifth. Since being claimed off waivers Aug. 2, the 27-year-old has gone 2-for-16 with two runs scored and an RBI across 19 plate appearances. Over 20 games between the Mariners and Giants this season, Kennedy is slashing .091/.211/.121 with four runs scored and an RBI across 38 plate appearances.

Javier Sanoja 3B | MIA
Marlins' Javier Sanoja: Launches fifth homer Sunday
Sanoja went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Reds.
Sanoja capped Miami's late offensive explosion by taking Ron Marinaccio deep for a three-run homer, putting the finishing touches on the blowout victory. The blast was his fifth of the season and continued a productive August for the infielder. Sanoja is batting .302 with a .883 OPS and 10 RBI across 14 games this month.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Strikes again with homer, four RBI
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Twins.
After piling up a career-high five hits in Saturday's meeting with Minnesota, Bohm was back at it Sunday, tying a season high in RBI. The infielder is heating up in a hurry, riding a five-game hitting streak and ripping four extra-base hits over that stretch. Through 487 plate appearances, Bohm is now slashing .242/.300/.384 with 14 homers, 21 doubles, 68 RBI and two stolen bases.

Cole Mathis 3B | CHC
Mets' Cole Mathis: Back on shelf at High-A
High-A Brooklyn placed Mathis on its 7-day injured list Tuesday due to an unspecified injury.
Mathis will head to the IL for the second time this season, though it's unclear if his latest setback on the health front is related to the injury that kept him out for about seven weeks earlier this summer. The 23-year-old corner infielder -- whom the Mets acquired in the June 25 deal that sent left-hander David Peterson to the Cubs -- debuted for his new organization on July 23 before being reinstated from Brooklyn's injured list Aug. 4. He appeared in just three games for Brooklyn -- going 1-for-11 with a double and 3:5 BB:K -- prior to landing back on the IL a week later.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Nolan Arenado: MRI on tap
Arenado (trunk) said after Sunday's 5-3 loss to Atlanta that he will undergo an MRI on Monday, Jody Jackson of DBacks.tv reports.
Arenado went 0-for-2 before exiting in the fourth inning with an injury that the Diamondbacks termed as left trunk discomfort. The 35-year-old is concerned that he might be dealing with an injury to an intercostal muscle, but the MRI should provide some clarity on that front. Idlemaro Vargas and Tim Tawa would be the top candidates to fill in at third base if Arenado's injury ends up costing him some time.

David Hamilton 3B | MIL
Brewers' David Hamilton: Held out against lefty
Hamilton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
The left-handed-hitting Hamilton will be on the bench for a second straight day to close out the series in Los Angeles while the Dodgers send another lefty (Tarik Skubal) to the bump. With Hamilton and Brice Turang (knee) both sitting, the Brewers will open up starts at third base for Andrew Vaughn and second base for Jonathan Ornelas.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Nolan Arenado: Leaves game early Sunday
Arenado was removed in the bottom of the fourth inning of Sunday's game in Atlanta due to left trunk discomfort. He went 0-for-2 before exiting the contest.
The 35-year-old was coming off one of his best performances of the season after slugging two home runs, driving in four runs and coming around to score a third run in Saturday's 10-3 win, but he was unable to build on that big game before the trunk injury cut his afternoon short. Ildemaro Vargas came off the bench to cover third base, and he and Tim Tawa would likely be the main candidates to fill in at the position if Arenado requires a stint on the injured list. For now, Arenado can be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in Boston.
