Farmer will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Wednesday against the Padres.

After moving down to the No. 2 spot in the order in Tuesday's 6-2 loss, Farmer will be back in the table-setting role for the fourth time in five games Wednesday. With Jonathan India (hamstring) landing on the injured list Tuesday, Farmer looks like he'll have security near the top of the order. Farmer is hitting .317 and is getting on base at a .378 clip this season, but the lack of productive and/or healthy bats in the Cincinnati lineup at the moment may not help him pile up runs despite handling leadoff duties.

Riley was placed on the paternity list Wednesday.

Riley is coming off back-to-back games with multi-hit performances, but he'll now spend a few days away from the team following the birth of his child. Travis Demeritte was recalled by Atlanta to provide additional depth, while Orlando Arcia should see an uptick in playing time while Riley is sidelined.

Segura will start at second base and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Segura stepped into the leadoff role for the first time all season Tuesday, when the Rockies brought lefty Kyle Freeland to the hill. The 32-year-old went 0-for-4 with a walk in the 6-5 loss, but he'll stick atop the lineup for the second game in a row while the Phillies oppose a right-handed starter (German Marquez). A full-time leadoff job would be a boon to Segura's fantasy value, but he'll likely have a short leash in the table-setting role if he doesn't produce.

Riley went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Riley singled in the first inning and singled home a run and stole second in the fifth to mark consecutive multi-hit performances. The 25-year-old has been a bit boom-or-bust of late with four two-hit outings and three hitless games in his last seven, but overall, Riley's experienced more positives than negatives with a .292/.404/.500 slash line. The stolen base was the first of his career, so don't expect a ton of activity in that regard.

Machado went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Reds.

The start to Tuesday's game was eerily similar to Monday's; Machado turned an early deficit into a lead with a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning. Machado is on a tear to open the season, slashing .365/.411/.635. He's tied for fourth in MLB with eight extra-base hits.

Wisdom went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.

Wisdom entered as a pinch hitter for Jason Heyward in the bottom of the fourth inning, immediately taking Josh Fleming deep for his second long ball of the 2022 campaign, scoring Frank Schwindel in the process. After starting the season 1-for-21 from the plate, the 30-year-old has put together a nice five-game hitting streak, batting .533 with seven extra-base hits and seven RBI over those contests.

Senzel is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in San Diego.

Senzel was activated from the injured list Monday but has yet to enter the lineup for Cincinnati. TJ Friedl will start in center field and bat leadoff Tuesday after being promoted from Triple-A Louisville earlier in the day.

Moustakas was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right biceps strain. The transaction is retroactive to Monday.

Manager David Bell said Moustakas was expected to start Tuesday after missing Monday's game with the injury, but the third baseman will instead make his way to the injured list. It's unclear exactly how long the 33-year-old is expected to be sidelined, though he'll be eligible to be reinstated April 28. Colin Moran should see more time at third base during his absence.

Wisdom is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Wisdom had just one hit and 11 strikeouts in his first six games of the year, but he's gone 7-for-12 with five doubles, a homer and just three strikeouts over his last four games. Jonathan Villar will get the start at third base Tuesday.

Anderson will start in left field and bat sixth in Tuesday's game against the Cardinals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

After filling in as the Marlins' left fielder in Sunday's win over the Phillies while Garrett Cooper (elbow) was out, Anderson will stay in the outfield for the second straight game, as Cooper is playing first base while Jorge Soler takes a seat. Anderson is getting his third consecutive start overall, after going 4-for-6 with a double, two walks and three runs between the previous two contests. Though he doesn't possess an everyday gig at any position, Anderson's ability to play the two corner-infield and corner-outfield spots should be enough for him to earn a handful for starts per week.
