Marlins' Eric Wagaman: Collects three RBI

Wagaman went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and a two-run single in Friday's 11-9 win over the Nationals.

Wagaman gave the Marlins a 4-0 lead in the third with an RBI double to right field, and he added to the run total with a two-run single in the eighth that extended Miami's lead to three. It was Wagaman's 13th multi-hit game of the season, three of which have come over his last six outings. He has slashed .272/.302/.358 with one steal, four doubles, one home run and 10 RBI in 86 plate appearances over his last 20 games.

Giants' Matt Chapman: To begin rehab in one week

Chapman (hand) received good news from his visit with a specialist Friday and can begin rehabbing in about one week, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Buster Olney of ESPN reported earlier Friday that Chapman could be sidelined at least through the end of June due to sprained ligaments in his right hand. While the update from the hand specialist didn't move up Chapman's earliest return date, it certainly lessens the possibility of a long-term absence. The third baseman will have to wear a splint for the next week before beginning rehab. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Chapman to be back before the end of June, but it seems likely that he'll be back before the All-Star break.

Giants' Matt Chapman: Visiting hand specialist

Chapman is visiting a specialist Friday regarding the sprained ligaments in his right hand, and he could be sidelined at least through the end of June, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.

The third baseman landed on the injured list Tuesday and has already indicated that he's likely to be sidelined beyond the 10-day minimum. Chapman said he hopes to return before the All-Star break, and Friday's visit could determine whether that's a realistic possibility. Casey Schmitt has made three straight starts at third base for the Giants with Chapman on the shelf.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Day off Thursday

Hayes is absent from the lineup for Thursday's tilt against the Cubs.

It's a routine day off for Hayes, who started the previous five games and 14 of the last 15 contests. Jared Triolo is handling third base and batting ninth for the Pirates.

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Swipes two bags

Hayes went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two stolen bases Wednesday against the Marlins.

Hayes' overall numbers remain poor, but he has shown some improvement in June. Across nine games, he has gone 9-for-31 with two RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases. While that's still underwhelming for fantasy purposes, he is up to eight swiped bags on the season and is pacing toward his highest total since 2022.

  • Ronny Mauricio 2B | NYM

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Heading to bench Thursday

Mauricio is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Mauricio will take a seat after he had made starts in each of the last five games -- three at third base, one at shortstop and one at designated hitter -- while going 5-for-16 with a home run, a double, two walks, two stolen bases and three additional runs. Though he doesn't have a direct path to an everyday role at any one position, Mauricio's ability to fit in at three infield spots or at DH will allow the Mets to find him at least semi-regular at-bats so long as he remains productive at the plate.

  • Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN

Reds' Noelvi Marte: Waiting on MRI

Marte (oblique) is targeting June 20 to begin a rehab assignment but needs to get an MRI before being cleared, MLB.com reports.

Marte recently began hitting soft tosses in the batting cage at the team's complex in Goodyear (Ariz.), which signaled a rehab assignment was imminent. He's been sidelined on the 10-day injured list since early May.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | SEA

Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Crushes grand slam in win

Suarez went 3-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Mariners.

Suarez notched his first three-hit performance since May 25, highlighted by what proved to be a game-winning grand slam in the sixth inning. The third baseman has opened June on a power surge, going deep four times with two doubles through the first 10 games of the month. On the year, he's slashing .233/.305/.514 with 19 home runs, 52 RBI, 41 runs scored and one steal across 279 plate appearances.

  • Alec Bohm 3B | PHI

Phillies' Alec Bohm: Drives in four in Wednesday's win

Bohm went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Cubs.

Shifted back to third base after starting four straight games at first base to cover for Bryce Harper (wrist), Bohm delivered his third straight multi-hit performance Wednesday while setting a season high in RBI. The 28-year-old capped the scoring for the Phillies on the afternoon with a solo shot off Genesis Cabrera in the seventh inning. Since the beginning of May, Bohm is batting a blistering .333 (47-for-141) in 37 contests with all six of his homers on the year, plus 16 runs and 20 RBI.

  • Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY

Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Getting breather Wednesday

McMahon is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Giants.

The left-handed-hitting McMahon will get a breather as the Giants send southpaw Robbie Ray to the hill. Orlando Arcia will hold down third base and bat sixth for the Rockies.
