Senzel went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and a run Sunday in the Reds' 8-6 win over the Cubs.

Senzel concluded June with his fifth multi-hit effort of the month and narrowly missed out on his first three-hit performance since May 26 after Jason Heyward robbed him of a potential two-run home run in the seventh inning. Though he's primarily served as the Reds' leadoff man during his rookie season, Senzel will drop down to the fifth spot in the order Monday against Milwaukee while Jesse Winker gets a spin in the table-setting role.

Suarez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 8-6 triumph over the Cubs.

Suarez entered the contest with a .173 average and just three extra-base hits over the last 14 games, but he busted out of the slump in a big way in the first inning. With two runners on, Suarez belted Jon Lester's 3-2 pitch over the batter's eye for a 457-foot blast, making it the longest Cincinnati home run of the season. The long ball was Suarez's 17th of the season, keeping him on pace for a second straight 30-homer campaign. He'll be back in the lineup for Monday's series opener with the Brewers, batting out of the three hole while manning the hot corner.

Vargas went 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 10-4 loss to San Francisco.

Vargas started at second base as Ketel Marte was cleared to play outfield for the first time since injuring his hamstring. With Marte limited to second base since returning, Vargas' at-bats took a hit. Expect to see more of Vargas as the primary second baseman until Wilmer Flores (foot) returns.

Machado went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

Machado got the Padres on the board with a two-run shot off Miles Mikolas in the first inning, continuing a productive June in which he's hitting .314 with 11 homers and 29 runs batted in. His afternoon went south from there, however, as he failed to register a hit in his remaining four at-bats and committed a crucial error in the eighth inning that led to the game-tying run. In his first season in San Diego, Machado has proven to be an offensive force, slashing .277/.352/.516 with 20 homers and 56 runs batted in.

Hayes (finger) has begun a rehab assignment following a three-week absence.

Hayes' power has been slow to develop throughout his career despite solid scouting reports, and his season-to-date at Triple-Indianapolis has been no exception with just three homers in 224 at-bats. The 20 doubles and eight steals point to some upside however, and he could find himself in Pittsburgh later this summer if he's able to hit well in the interim.

Rendon went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored in a 2-1 win over Detroit on Sunday.

Rendon swatted a solo homer in the eighth inning to break a 1-1 tie, giving him 19 this season. The 29-year-old owns a terrific 1.028 OPS with 42 extra-base knocks and 58 RBI this season.

Machado went 2-for-5 with two homers and five RBI in Saturday's 12-2 win over the Cardinals.

Machado blew the game open with a three-run homer in the second inning as part of a seven-run rally and then added a two-run blast in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 9-1. Machado's pair of homers gives him 19 on the year to go with 54 RBI and 50 runs scored. He's hitting .424 (28-for-66) with nine homers and 21 RBI in his last 15 games.

Rendon went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI in a 7-5 loss against the Tigers on Saturday.

The 29-year-old broke out of his mini-slump with his first three-hit game since June 16, though he has five multi-hit games in his last 12 contests. Rendon is slashing .310/.398/.619 with 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 61 runs and one steal in 294 plate appearances this year.

Riley went 2-for-4 with a tie-breaking solo homer in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Mets.

Riley followed a homer by Nick Markakis by going deep on the next pitch from Seth Lugo in the seventh inning to give the Braves a 5-4 lead. It was the 22-year-old's 14th homer in just 161 at-bats, and the strong power he has displayed has produced a .280/.333/.596 slash line this year.

Farmer will serve as the Reds' No. 2 catcher while Tucker Barnhart is out, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports. "To his credit, even though he hasn't caught during the season, he's worked very hard to stay on top of his catching skills," manager David Bell said. "[Coach] J.R. [House] has done a good job of keeping him ready."

Farmer hasn't caught in a game so far this season, but he has some big league experience behind the plate. "Extra-inning games, some blowout games I'd catch in the later innings. This is the first time I might be able to start a game at catcher, which is pretty cool," Farmer said. "I sat down with Tucker and Curt [Casali] today, I hadn't done a scouting report all year until today. That's another thing I have to get used to. It's just watching the game more in depth, watching how Curt calls a game and seeing the history of Tucker calling games, that's the biggest thing. And just getting my legs back into shape."
