Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Records 11th home run
Longoria went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Thursday against the Diamondbacks.
Longoria took Zack Greinke deep in the first inning for his 11th home run of the season. It was his first home run and third extra-base hit since returning from the disabled list on July 26. He has consistently batted third in the Giants' lineup, which should give him plenty of opportunities to rack up counting stats to close the season.

Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Crushes 25th home run
Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's 10-4 loss to Washington.
The Reds weren't able to get much going beyond Suarez's fourth-inning shot. Despite his team's struggles, the 27-year-old slugger continues to mash this season. He's up to 25 homers with 83 RBI and a .300 batting average. Suarez would likely be one of the top MVP candidates if it weren't for the Reds' terrible 48-61 record.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Brewers' Mike Moustakas: Not in Thursday's lineup
Moustakas is not in the lineup against the Dodgers on Thursday.
With left-hander Clayton Kershaw on the mound, Moustakas will move to the bench for the series finale. Travis Shaw will get the nod at third base after he received a breather from the starting lineup Wednesday.

Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD
Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Not in Thursday's lineup
Asuaje is out of the lineup against the Cubs on Thursday.
Asuaje will get the night off with left-hander Mike Montgomery on the mound. In his place, Jose Pirela will man the keystone and bat eighth.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Activated, in Thursday's lineup
LeMahieu (oblique) was reinstated from the 10-day DL and will man second base and bat second during Thursday's contest against St. Louis, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
LeMahieu spent the past two weeks on the disabled list after suffering a strained oblique in the first game back from the All-Star break. He was able to face live pitching Wednesday and should return to his role as the club's everyday second baseman moving forward. In a corresponding move, Garrett Hampson was sent back down to Triple-A.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Slugs 16th homer
Rendon went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in the 5-3 victory over the Mets.
Rendon extended Washington's lead to three in the third inning after sending a ball over the left-field fence. He's collected a base knock in nine of his last 10 games, going 13-for-42 with three extra-base hits and nine RBI over that stretch. Rendon sits with a .288 average and 53 RBI over 82 games in 2018.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Expected to return Thursday
LeMahieu (oblique) faced live pitching Wednesday, and he expects to be in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against St. Louis, Nick Groke of The Athletic Denver reports.
LeMahieu landed on the 10-day disabled list July 21 with an oblique strain, but after hitting without issue Wednesday, he's set to be activated and resume his role as the everyday second baseman. Through 72 games in 2018, he's slashing .278/.324/.430 with eight homers, 34 RBI and five stolen bases.

Matt Reynolds 3B | CIN
Nationals' Matt Reynolds: Back in minors
Reynolds was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
He hasn't done much in 240 career plate appearances in the majors (.223/.295/.340), but has been slightly better at Triple-A this year, slashing .259/.355/.410 with two home runs in 245 plate appearances. Reynolds will continue to serve as organizational infield depth.

Trevor Plouffe 3B | PHI
Phillies' Trevor Plouffe: Designated for assignment
Plouffe was designated for assignment by the Phillies on Tuesday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.
Plouffe was with the Phillies for three weeks but made just a single start. He was the 16th-inning walkoff hero against the Dodgers on July 24, but someone had to go in order to make room on the roster for deadline-day acquisition Aaron Loup. Plouffe's .242/.304/.410 career line and ability to play multiple positions could be enough for another team to claim him off waivers and use him as a bench piece.
