DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Hopes to avoid DL stint
LeMahieu (hamstring) hopes to avoid a trip to the disabled list, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
His hamstring wasn't as sore as he expected Saturday, but he was nevertheless left out of the starting lineup. He left Friday's game with hamstring tightness, though the issue was reportedly minor. The fact that LeMahieu hopes to avoid the DL seems to support that idea.

Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD
Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Sits out Saturday
Asuaje is not in the lineup Saturday against the Mets.
Asuaje opened the year by starting 21 of the Padres' first 22 games, but he's now sat for three of the last six. Franchy Cordero has earned a near-everyday role in the outfield, pushing Jose Pirela in to second base. Asuaje's .207/.284/.315 line so far this year can't compete with Cordero's .241/.281/.537 (at least in the power department), so expect him to continue to lose time.

Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Out of lineup Saturday
LeMahieu (hamstring) is not starting Saturday against the Marlins.
LeMahieu left Friday's game with right hamstring tightness. The issue is reportedly minor, but he'll miss at least one game. Pat Valaika will start at second base in his place Saturday.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Not in lineup for Game 1
Longoria is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
It appears to just be a game off for Longoria, as there has been no indication of any injury issues for the veteran third baseman. There should be no cause for concern unless the 31-year-old is also held out of Game 2 against the Dodgers on Saturday night.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Hits fifth home run of season
Longoria went 2-for-4 with a solo home run to help the Giants to a 6-4 victory over the Dodgers on Friday.
Longoria was hitting just .222 coming into the contest, but he was able to check in with his fifth long ball of the season with a second-inning solo blast off Hyun-Jin Ryu. He now has a respectable .494 slugging percentage through 85 at-bats with his new club, although his 3:25 BB:K tells a different story.

Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Gets four hits in second game back from DL
Suarez went 4-for-6 with two runs and an RBI in Cincinnati's 15-9 win over the Twins on Friday.
After going 0-for-4 in his first game back from the disabled list coming off a thumb injury, Suarez got back to his old tricks with this four-hit effort, bringing his slash line up to .324/.419/.595 through 37 at-bats. His stats might not remain that prolific all season, but he had an .828 OPS over 534 at-bats last year, so Suarez has shown he can be a solid fantasy contributor.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Hamstring issue minor
LeMahieu experienced hamstring tightness in Friday's 1-0 win over the Marlins but believes it to be a minor injury, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
LeMahieu appeared to sustain the injury hustling out a double in the third inning Friday and was removed shortly thereafter, although he did attempt to remain in the game. The 29-year-old indicated there was a "chance" he could play Saturday, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the Rockies utilize some caution and give their second baseman a day or two to rest up.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Exits with hamstring tightness
LeMahieu exited Friday's game against the Marlins with right hamstring tightness, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
LeMahieu appeared to tweak his hamstring hustling out a double in the third inning, although he attempted to remain in the game through the bottom of the inning. Pat Valaika took over at second base for the Rockies, and LeMahieu should be considered day-to-day until his status is updated by the team.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Sits versus lefty Friday
Muncy is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Giants, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
This marks the fourth consecutive game in which he'll ride the pine. Muncy has typically started at third base against right-handed pitchers, but with lefty Derek Holland taking the hill for the opposition, Muncy will head to the bench for a night off. Kyle Farmer will take a turn at the hot corner to replace him.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Scheduled for baseball activities Friday
Rendon (toe) is expected to partake in baseball activities Friday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
Rendon was also seen playing catch and testing his left foot before Friday's game, according to Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports. It seems like the star third baseman is progressing well in his rehab program, making it seem like he's relatively close to returning to game action of some sort.
