Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Scheduled for baseball activities Friday
Rendon (toe) is expected to partake in baseball activities Friday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
Rendon was also seen playing catch and testing his left foot before Friday's game, according to Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports. It seems like the star third baseman is progressing well in his rehab program, making it seem like he's relatively close to returning to game action of some sort.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Marlins' Brian Anderson: Grabs first start in right field Friday
Anderson is batting fourth and playing right field Friday against the Rockies, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.
The Marlins alluded to a potential position switch for Anderson once Martin Prado returned, and with the veteran officially back in action Friday, Anderson will get his first start in right field. It's unclear if he'll play consistently, though his current six-game hit streak certainly helps his case to play regularly.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: May see reduced role again
McMahon is not in the lineup Friday against the Marlins, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
With Gerardo Parra returning from his suspension, Ian Desmond will move back to first base. As such, McMahon will spend another evening on the bench. The 23-year-old wasn't able to do much with his semi-regular playing time while Parra and Nolan Arenado were serving their suspensions, as he's mustered just a .235 batting average with 13 strikeouts since April 11 (two days before the suspensions were handed out).

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Marlins' Brian Anderson: Could be moved off third base
Anderson could see time in right field and at first base once Martin Prado (knee) comes off the disabled list, Doug Padilla of MLB.com reports. "We'll mix [Anderson] in with some outfield and maybe some first [base], and find ways to get both in the lineup," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said Wednesday.
Mattingly seems to prefer using Prado at third base, suggesting he'd get at least one day off a week as the regular starter at the hot corner, which could make it tough for Anderson to see regular playing time as the Marlins already have a player in Derek Dietrich who can fill the third base/first base/corner outfield utility role. It remains to be seen exactly how Mattingly's lineups will shake out once Prado is back, but Anderson being stuck as a platoon partner for Dietrich and Justin Bour isn't out of the question, which would put a significant damper on his fantasy value.

Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Activated, starting at third Thursday
Suarez (thumb) was activated from the 10-day disabled list and will start at third base and bat fifth Thursday against the Braves, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Suarez was sidelined for just under three weeks with the fractured right thumb, a far shorter time period than most anticipated when he first suffered the injury. The Reds were comfortable green lighting Suarez's return to the big club after he appeared in back-to-back rehab games with Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday and Wednesday, going 1-for-5 with a double and three walks. With Suarez back in the fold, the likes of Alex Blandino will see fewer reps at the hot corner and transition into more of a utility role while he remains in Cincinnati. Suarez's return should also temporarily quell any discussion of top prospect Nick Senzel earning a call to the big leagues.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: On base four times Wednesday
McMahon went 2-for-2 with two walks in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Padres.
While the rookie has been having trouble stringing together hits, McMahon has still been getting on base steadily, drawing six walks in his last seven games. His .170/.304/.191 slash line on the season still has a lot of room for improvement, and his window for regular playing time will likely close once Carlos Gonzalez (hamstring) and Gerardo Parra (suspension) are back in action.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Not in Wednesday's lineup
Longoria is out of the lineup against the Nationals on Wednesday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.
Longoria will take a seat following seven straight starts as the Giants wrap up a series against Washington with a matinee prior to Thursday's day off. Pablo Sandoval will get the start at third base in his stead while batting fifth in the order.

Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD
Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Not starting Tuesday
Asuaje is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Colorado, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Jose Pirela will move in from the outfield to play second base, with Franchy Cordero starting in left. The off day is just Asuaje's third of the season, though it's his second in three games. He hasn't had a particularly promising start to the season, hitting just .226/.301/.345, so it's possible that he'll find himself on the bench more often moving forward.
