Jason Vosler 3B | SEA
Cubs' Jason Vosler: Moving up the depth chart
Vosler, 23, is batting .259/.361/.439 with 15 home runs and 66 RBI through 104 games for Double-A Tennessee.
With the trade of Jeimer Candelario, among other moves, Vosler has entered the conversation in terms of hitting prospects for the Cubbies. With Kris Bryant entrenched at third, it is doubtful Vosler ever seizes the job at the hot corner in Chicago, though he could become trade bait or move to the outfield if necessary.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Braves' Jace Peterson: Recalled from Triple-A
Peterson was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.
With Sean Rodriguez getting traded to the Pirates, Peterson simply slots into the utility infielder role with the Braves. Ozzie Albies and Johan Camargo should play almost every day up the middle, so Peterson's playing time will be scant. He is hitting .187/.275/.268 with one home run and two steals in 138 big-league plate appearances this season.

Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD
Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Smashes second home run of season
Asuaje went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs and two RBI against the Pirates on Friday.
Asuaje launched his second home run of the year to extend the Padres' lead to three runs in the fifth inning, though they would go on to lose the contest. Although he doesn't offer much in the power department, he's hitting .311 with a .378 on-base percentage.

Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD
Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Heads to bench Wednesday
Asuaje is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Twins.
Asuaje has played well in month of July, slashing .307.365/.420 in 23 games while replacing Yangervis Solarte at the keystone. Now that the Padres' regular second baseman has returned from the disabled list, the 25-year-old may find himself on the bench occassionally to get the veteran's bat into the lineup.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Turns tables against Mets
Arenado went 2-for-5 with a homer and four RBI against the Mets on Tuesday.
The Mets took a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth at Coors, but Arenado erased it with a three-run homer, then hit a walkoff single in the ninth to finish them off. While it's not looking like Arenado will record his third straight 40-homer season, that's about the only negative thing you can say about his fantasy line, as he's hitting .316 and another season of 130-plus RBI appears easily within reach.

Matt Reynolds 3B | CIN
Mets' Matt Reynolds: Sent back to Las Vegas
Reynolds was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
The 26-year-old was barely playing in the big leagues, and in his few instances of playing time, he only managed to produce a .204 batting average in New York. With top prospect Amed Rosario joining the big-league team, there's simply no room for Reynolds in the majors right now, so he'll likely act as organizational depth until rosters expand in September.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Out of lineup Monday
Rendon is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
Adrian Sanchez will take over at third base and bat eighth against right-hander Jose Urena. Until there's something to suggest otherwise, this should be considered a routine day off for Rendon following 19 consecutive starts. Rendon got off to a bit of a slow start this season, but he's been one of the best hitters in baseball since the beginning of May (.331/.443/.645 with 18 homers and a 48:36 BB:K in his last 73 games).

Ildemaro Vargas 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ildemaro Vargas: Out with hand issue
Vargas has been sidelined since July 23 with a hand injury, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Vargas was an option to temporarily fill in for Chris Owings (finger) and Ketel Marte (personal) at shortstop, but the 26-year-old is apparently dealing with an issue of his own. It's still unclear how much longer the ailment will keep him sidelined, but he hasn't been placed on the minor-league disabled list, so it appears the Diamondbacks are hoping he'll be back sooner rather than later.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Dodgers' Kyle Farmer: Hits walk-off double in debut at-bat
Farmer hit a two-run, pinch-hit, walkoff double in the 11th inning Sunday against the Giants. It was his first major-league at-bat.
Down 2-1 in the bottom of the 11th inning, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts opted to give Farmer his first taste of big-league hitting, and the move paid off. Farmer battled back to a full count after going down 0-2, then proceeded to smack a one-out double to cash in Corey Seager and Justin Turner -- who had been intentionally walked. It remains to be seen when the 26-year-old will make his debut for the Dodgers behind the dish.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Hits bench for nightcap Sunday
LeMahieu is not in the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Nationals.
LeMahieu bashed a pair of doubles in the game one victory, so manager Bud Black will reward him with a night off in the nightcap. Alexi Amarista will replace him at second base.
