Donaldson is out of the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Rangers.
With Donaldson and Isiah Kiner-Falefa both resting for the front end of the twin bill, the Yankees will deploy DJ LeMahieu (third base) and Marwin Gonzalez (shortstop) on the left side of the infield. Expect both Donaldson and Kiner-Falefa to rejoin the lineup for the nightcap.

Mariners' Abraham Toro: Mashes third homer
Toro went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-2 loss to Tampa Bay.
Toro was unsuccessful in his first three at-bats but took reliever Ralph Garza deep to right in the ninth inning for his first extra-base hit since a home run on April 27th. The 25-year-old had been hitless in his last 13 at-bats prior to the long ball and is slashing a low .151/.221/.302 through 25 games.

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Monday debut confirmed
White Sox manager Tony La Russa confirmed that Moncada (oblique) will be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's series opener against the Guardians, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
According to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times, La Russa added that Moncada will be included in the lineup Monday as the No. 2 hitter, with Luis Robert moving into the cleanup spot to accommodate the 26-year-old for what will be his 2022 debut. Moncada was placed on the injured list after he strained his right oblique shortly before Opening Day, but he was cleared to start up a rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte in late April. Over his six games with the affiliate, Moncada hit .318 with two home runs, a double and two walks.

Hayes is not in the lineup Sunday against the Reds.
Hayes started the past 11 games and will take a seat Sunday for only the third time this season. Michael Chavis will man the hot corner in his place and bat third.

Mets' J.D. Davis: On bench again for Game 1
Davis is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader at Philadelphia, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.
Davis started three of four games in Atlanta following the release of Robinson Cano, but he finds himself on the bench for the second straight game in Sunday's matinee. He's more likely to be in the lineup for Game 2 with lefty Cristopher Sanchez on the mound for Philadelphia. Pete Alonso will serve as the designated hitter in Game 1 with Dominic Smith starting at first base.

Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Delivers lone run
Devers went 2-for-4 with with a double, a walk and an RBI in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the White Sox.
Devers gave Boston a lead in the fifth inning, but the team's failing offense was unable to build on it, going 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position. Meanwhile, the bullpen blew its ninth save of the season. Devers has hit safely in 25 of 28 games to start the season, but the third baseman has struggled like the rest of the order with runners in scoring position. The Red Sox rank 28th in batting average (.210), and Devers is hitting just .192 in opportunities to drive in runs.

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Exits with ankle contusion
Wisdom exited the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Dodgers with a left ankle contusion, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Wisdom left the game in the sixth inning after appearing uncomfortable during a swing. X-rays returned negative, so he should be considered day-to-day until further details emerge. Nick Madrigal entered the game at second base to replace Wisdom while Jonathan Villar shifted to the hot corner.

Giants' Jason Vosler: Sent to Sacramento
Vosler was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Vosler had been on the big-league roster since mid-April and looked good at the plate in limited action, hitting .286/.366/.486 with two homers in 12 games. He'll lose out on his roster spot as Brandon Belt returns from the COVID-19 injured list, but he should be one of the top options for a call-up the next time a Giants hitter gets injured.

Cubs' Nick Madrigal: On bench for nightcap
Madrigal will sit for the second part of Saturday's doubleheader against the Dodgers.
Madrigal went 0-for-3 in the first game of the day, dropping his season average to .225. Jonathan Villar will get the start at second base in the nightcap.
