Maton will pick up his 16th straight start Wednesday, manning second base while batting seventh against the Brewers, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Maton's run as the Phillies' everyday second baseman will likely be coming to an end soon; per Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Jean Segura (quadriceps) is playing in a second straight rehab game at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, and he could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as Thursday. Segura's return won't necessarily close the door on Maton filling a regular role with the big club, as the rookie has recently began taking reps in center field during batting practices, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic. Not only has center field been a black hole for the Phillies this season in terms of offensive production, but the team is running out of options at the position. Adam Haseley (personal) is on the restricted list, Roman Quinn (finger) is on the injured list and Bryce Harper (wrist) is day-to-day. During his run as a regular in the Phillies lineup, Maton is slashing .327/.363/.423.

Machado isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Machado has gone hitless with a run, two walks and four strikeouts in his last 10 at-bats. Ha-Seong Kim will start at third base and bat seventh.

Devers (shoulder) will start at third base and bat fifth Wednesday against the Tigers, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Devers checks back into the starting nine after he was held out of Tuesday's 11-7 win with a sore right shoulder. He'll step in against Tigers right-hander Casey Mize, who has surrendered five home runs across his last three starts.

Burger exited Tuesday's Triple-A season opener with a mild quad strain, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Burger started at third base Wednesday and went 0-for-3 with a run to begin the game. Although he left the game with a quad issue, the injury is believed to be minor, and it's unlikely that the 25-year-old will face a long-term absence.

Senzel (shoulder) will start in center field and bat sixth Wednesday against the White Sox.

Senzel was scratched from the lineup ahead of Tuesday's 9-0 loss to the White Sox, but that was mostly for precautionary purposes while he managed a sore shoulder. The injury is apparently only a minor concern for Senzel, who should see the bulk of the work in center field over Tyler Naquin now that his bat has begun to wake up. Over his last 10 games, Senzel is slashing .303/.385/.424 with a home run and a 5:4 BB:K.

Longoria went 2-for-5 with a walk and a run scored across both halves of Tuesday's doubleheader versus Colorado.

Longoria wasn't in the lineup for the first game, but he entered as a pinch hitter in the fifth inning. In the nightcap, he started at third base and batted cleanup. The 35-year-old snapped an 0-for-10 skid at the plate Tuesday. Overall, he's slashing .284/.398/.527 with four home runs, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored in 26 games this season.

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Yankees.

The third baseman seemed to relish playing the heel in the Astros' first visit to Yankee Stadium with fans in attendance since the sign-stealing scandal came to light, and he took Domingo German deep in the first inning for his fifth homer of the year. It was also Bregman's fifth multi-hit effort in his last 13 games, a stretch in which he's batted .327 (16-for-49) with three long balls, 10 RBI and 11 runs.

Muncy went 1-for-4 with a home run and two strikeouts in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

Muncy wasn't having his best performance at the plate, but he made his presence felt in the seventh inning when he launched a solo shot off Craig Kimbrel that evened things up at 1-1. It was Muncy's fourth long ball of the season, but he has been struggling at the plate overall, hitting .209 with a .799 OPS in 2021.

Anderson went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

He missed the prior 11 games with an oblique strain, but Anderson got the ball rolling for the Marlins' offense by taking Riley Smith deep in the first inning. The veteran third baseman was off to a slow start this season before the injury, as he's still batting just .206 with two homers and eight RBI through 18 games.

Senzel (shoulder) will be in the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

The 25-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's starting nine with shoulder soreness, but he's expected to be back in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale. Senzel is 6-for-15 with one homer, two walks, one stolen base, two RBI and two runs over his past four games.
