Moncada is not in the lineup Friday against the Tigers.

Moncada started the past two games and will head to the bench despite going 4-for-10 with a double, two runs and two RBI. Yolmer Sanchez will take over at the hot corner Friday for the White Sox.

Moustakas left Thursday's game against the Cubs with a foot contusion, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

The injury occurred when the infielder was hit by a pitch on his foot in the fourth inning. It's yet to be determined if Moustakas will miss time beyond Thursday.

Machado went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk during Thursday's win over the Giants.

Machado extended San Diego's lead with a solo shot off Trevor Cahill in the third inning. The long ball was No. 13 of the season for the 28-year-old, who is slashing .307/.376/.597 while leading the Padres with 54 hits.

Devers went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a run scored Thursday against the Rays.

Devers took Josh Fleming yard in the the third inning to record his 10th homer of the season. He now has four long balls in his past four games, also driving in nine runs and scoring four times. After a slow start to the season, Devers is hitting .275/.328/.533 with 26 runs scored and 31 RBI across 180 plate appearances.

Candelario hit home runs in both ends of Thursday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, going a combined 5-for-6 with a walk, a double, two homers and five RBI.

After supplying the Tigers' only offense in the matinee with a two-run blast, Candelario kicked off a comeback from a 3-0 deficit in the nightcap with a sixth-inning solo shot. After the huge performance, the 26-year-old is now slashing .333/.389/.590 with seven homers and 28 RBI through 40 games.

Bregman returned to the lineup and went 0-for-4 in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Atheltics.

Bregman played one of the doubleheader games Tuesday before sitting out Wednesday as the Astros bring him back slowly from a hamstring injury. With Houston off Friday, Bregman will get another day before playing in games Saturday and Sunday against the Dodgers.

Paredes isn't in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Paredes will take a seat for Thursday's nightcap after generating one single in three at-bats during Game 1. Sergio Alcantara will take over at third base during the second game.

Urshela (elbow) took swings on the field prior to Thursday's game against the Orioles, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Urshela was able to participate in live batting practice as he's expected to have a short stay on the injured list while he deals with a bone spur in his right elbow. Barring any setbacks, the 28-year-old should return to the Yankees' active roster when he's first eligible Tuesday.

Ramirez (hand) isn't in Thursday's lineup against the Royals.

Ramirez returned to the lineup Wednesday after suffering a bruise on his left hand Monday, but he'll retreat to the bench once again Thursday. Mike Freeman will take over at third base in his absence.

There are no plans for Chapman (hip) to do any baseball activities in the near future, although the Athletics are maintaining he did not suffer any setbacks, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

A report from John Hickey of SI.com on Tuesday suggested Chapman would start baseball-related activities Wednesday, but the A's are saying that was never the plan. The latest reports suggest Chapman won't be back this weekend, at which point it may make sense for Oakland to place him on the injured list. He suffered a right hip strain Sept. 6. Chad Pinder is starting at third base and batting eighth Thursday.
