Riley went 2-for-5 with two walks, five runs and an RBI in the Braves' 29-9 win over the Marlins on Wednesday.

Batting in front of Adam Duvall -- who posted a career-high nine RBI -- proved to be fruitful for Riley, whose five runs matched his output from his previous 11 games combined. Riley is slashing a respectable .257/.350/.400 in September, but his ability to pare down his strikeout rate has probably been a more impressive development to begin the month. He's struck out only twice in his nine starts during that stretch.

Bregman will be in the lineup for both weekend games against the Dodgers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Bregman was activated from the injured list Tuesday and started one of the doubleheader games that day. He was then held out Wednesday as part of a predetermined plan, although he did pinch hit and played third base for the final inning. He could return to the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against Oakland ahead of an off-day Friday before the weekend games in Los Angeles.

Chapman (hip) didn't resume baseball activities Wednesday and may not do so Thursday, Alex Coffey of The Athletic reports.

Manager Bob Melvin didn't indicate the 27-year-old suffered a setback with the right hip tendinitis, but something changed as he was previously expected to participate in baseball activities Wednesday. Chapman doesn't have an official timeline for his return but seems likely to be sidelined for at least another couple games.

Rendon went 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI on Wednesday against the Rangers.

Rendon delivered an RBI single in the opening frame and has now driven in six runners across his last four starts. He's put up a strong .291/.434/.530 line with eight home runs, 21 runs scored and 25 RBI across 168 plate appearances for the season.

Madrigal went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Wednesday's 8-1 victory over the Pirates.

Madrigal has missed a lot of time this season with a shoulder ailment, although he has displayed a knack to get on base during his small sample size. The 23-year-old is 19-for-50 with a .404 on-base percentage thus far in 2020. The White Sox are top-five in the league in runs scored, adding slightly more appeal to Madrigal's outlook.

Moncada went 2-for-5 with a run scored and one RBI in the White Sox' 8-1 victory against the Pirates on Wednesday night.

Moncada came into the contest in a 3-for-21 slump. After a hot start to the season, he has hit a meek .239 in the White Sox last 30 games. He ranks in the bottom fifth of the league for exit velocity, expected batting average and strikeout percentage.

Moustakas went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Moustakas' long ball came off Cubs starter Yu Darvish in the first inning, and that was the only scoring for either team. The 31-year-old Moustakas has hit safely in five of his last six games, going 6-for-19 (.316) with two homers, four RBI and two runs scored in that span. He's slashing .236/.337/.416 with four homers, 14 RBI and seven runs scored in 29 contests overall.

LeMahieu went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and a stolen base Wednesday, as the Yankees beat the Blue Jays 7-2.

Lemahieu has now hit safely in 27 of 33 games this season. He launched an opposite-field bomb in the third inning, marking his third home run of the month. The 32-year-old has raked to the tune of a .355/.404/.524 slash line and should only further benefit from the eventual return of Aaron Judge (calf) and Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring).

McMahon isn't in Wednesday's lineup against the Padres.

Even with a righty (Zach Davies) taking the mound for the Padres, McMahon will take a seat Wednesday. Josh Fuentes will start at first base in his absence.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said that Bregman won't start in Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

After he was sidelined for just over three weeks with a strained hamstring, Bregman returned from the 10-day injured list Tuesday. He started in the front end of a twin bill with Oakland, going 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts before sitting out the nightcap. Both Baker and general manager James Click have indicated that Bregman will eased back into action slowly, so his absence from the lineup for a second straight game appears to be precautionary. Bregman should check back into the lineup for Thursday's series finale with the Athletics, and with a team off day on tap Friday, he could play both games of the Astros' weekend series in Los Angeles versus the Dodgers.
