Longoria (glute) is in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Mariners.

Longoria was reportedly feeling better Tuesday but got an extra day to recover. He'll reclaim his spot at third base Wednesday, batting sixth.

Ramirez (hand) will return to the lineup Wednesday against the Royals, batting second and playing third base.

Ramirez left Monday's contest with what was originally called left thumb discomfort. An MRI taken Tuesday revealed nothing worse than a bruise on his hand, and he's ready to go one day later. He's been quite productive over his last 12 games, hitting .295/.404/.591 with four homers and three steals, so his return will be a big boost for Cleveland's offense.

Reynolds will start at third base and will bat sixth Wednesday against the Indians, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Reynolds was called up from the alternate site Tuesday and started in the Royals' 8-6 win over the Indians, going 0-for-3 with a run scored. In the lineup for the second straight day against a right-handed pitcher (Carlos Carrasco), Reynolds could get at extended trial at the hot corner while Maikel Franco fills in as the Royals' designated hitter in place of the injured Jorge Soler (oblique).

Arenado went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, three RBI and an additional run Tuesday in the Rockies' 14-6 loss to the Padres.

Arenado's first-inning blast off Mike Clevinger ended a 15-game home-run drought for the third baseman. His fantasy utility didn't completely disappear during the power outage, as Arenado still batted .304 while scoring seven runs and driving in seven over that stretch. That said, his ISO stills sits at .209 for the season, his worst showing in the category since his rookie year and 59 points below his mark from 2019.

Freeman has hit eight home runs thus far at Cleveland's alternate training site.

There are no official stats for prospects playing at alternate training sites, but there have been various videos on Twitter of Freeman hitting homers at the alternate site, and a member of his family posted on Sept. 7 that Freeman has hit three home runs in three days and is now up to eight on the summer. Freeman's doubters have pointed to his lack of over-the-fence power in the lower levels of the minors, but he has an excellent hit tool and it looks like some of his doubles are starting to clear the fence. His stock is trending up and he could reach the big leagues sometime next season if he stays on this trajectory.

Machado went 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs and two RBI on Tuesday against the Rockies.

He is now hitting .308/.376/.586 with 12 home runs and four steals in 169 at-bats. The Padres hung 10 runs on Colorado in the first two innings alone, so Machado was eventually pulled late in the game as manager Jayce Tingler emptied the bench.

Moncada went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Pirates.

Moncada was given a two-day break, having sat out Sunday before Monday's off-day. He recently acknowledged a lack of energy as the result of a bout with COVID-19 earlier this summer, which could be a contributing factor to his slash of .243/.335/.397, down nearly 200 points in OPS from his breakout 2019 campaign.

Madrigal went 2-for-3 with two doubles in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Pirates.

Madrigal's bat has played in MLB but without much pop. His two doubles Tuesday were the first extra-base hits of his career. Since returning from a shoulder injury, the rookie is 13-for-29 (.448) with three RBI and two runs scored while batting out of the nine-hole.

Candelario went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs and four RBI in Tuesday's win versus Milwaukee.

Candelario drove home half of Detroit's runs in the victory, plating a pair of runners with a single in the fifth inning and driving home two more with a homer to right field in the seventh. The 26-year-old has been hot over his last three games, going 7-for-12 with four extra-base hits and five runs scored. If he is able to keep up his current pace, his .319/.374/.541 slash line will blow away his previous career-best numbers.

Devers went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs and three RBI during a 6-5 loss to the Phillies in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

The third baseman launched solo shots in the third and fifth innings before nearly playing hero for Boston in the sixth, as his RBI double gave the team its first lead of the game. Unfortunately for the Red Sox, Matt Barnes couldn't shut the door in the seventh. It was Devers' second multi-homer game since Aug. 30, and including a 1-for-4 effort in the nightcap Tuesday, he's hitting .421 (16-for-38) over his last 10 games with five home runs and 12 RBI.
