Davis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Dodgers.

Davis kicked off the contest with a solo blast to left field, but the Mets would fall 9-2 in the series opener. He's registered an RBI in each of his last three games, and he now sits with 52 RBI over 127 matchups in 2019.

Muncy (wrist) will get starts at second base against left-handed pitchers, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Muncy is making his return to the lineup Friday, playing first base and batting second. He indicated that his wrist is not fully healed and that it affects his throwing more than his swinging, but Muncy is still expected to start at second base when the Dodgers face southpaws. That opens the door for David Freese to continue getting occasional starts at first.

McMahon isn't in the starting lineup for Friday's game against San Diego.

McMahon will retreat to the bench after going hitless in his last four contests (0-for-12). Pat Valaika gets the start at the keystone and will bat sixth.

Chapman is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.

Chapman started the last 13 contests and went 7-for-45 with 23 strikeouts, and he'll receive a game off to reset Friday. Sheldon Neuse receives the start at the hot corner for the A's in his place.

Ramirez (hand) played catch without a wrap on his wrist Friday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Ramirez isn't expected to return during the regular season after undergoing surgery on his fractured hand in late August. He still needs to get back to swinging a bat if he's to return for the playoffs, however, should Cleveland qualify.

Muncy (wrist) was activated off the 10-day injured list Friday.

Muncy sustained a small right wrist fracture Aug. 28 but is ready to rejoin the Dodgers after a couple weeks on the shelf. The 29-year-old has a .253/.375/.525 slash line with 33 home runs and 87 RBI and will immediately slot back into his starting role at first base, batting second.

Urshela hit a two-run homer in his only at-bat in Game 2 of a doubleheader sweep against Detroit on Thursday.

Urshela went 0-for-5 in the opener before taking a seat for the second game of the twin bill. He was called upon to pinch hit with a runner aboard in the ninth inning and came through with a 410-foot shot to center field to plate a pair of insurance runs. The 27-year-old has broken out in a big way in his first season with the Yankees, slashing .328/.366/.564 with 20 homers and 70 RBI in 119 games.

Moncada went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Royals.

This was Moncada's fifth multi-hit game in the last seven, and it pushed his average above .300 again. He's gone 14-for-30 with just four strikeouts during his multi-hit barrage. Last season's MLB leader in strikeouts has cut down his propensity to whiff in 2019, going from 33.4 to 27.4 K%.

Machado was hit by a pitch, driving in a run in his lone plate appearance in a loss to the Cubs on Thursday.

Incredibly, Machado's entrance as a pinch hitter marked the first time in 1,068 career games that he came off the bench for a plate appearance. He was hit by Rowan Wick's fifth pitch, pushing across the Padres' only run of the game. Machado has struggled to start September, hitting only .162 with one homer in 37 at-bats, but he is likely to resume his regular starting duties Friday.

Suarez went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk and three RBI in a victory over Seattle on Thursday.

Suarez sparked Cincinnati's comeback with an RBI double in the seventh inning and a two-run homer in the eighth. The long ball was his fifth in the last seven games and vaulted him into a tie for second in the majors with 45 home runs this season. Suarez leads MLB with 25 homers since the All-Star break, slashing .300/.385/.704 with a 1.089 OPS in the second half.
