Longoria worked out on the field Saturday with a boot on his injured left foot, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Longoria has been out nearly a week with plantar fasciitis. He said Tuesday that he was hoping to return in two weeks, though the Giants have yet to provide a specific timeline for his return.

Chapman (ankle) was utilized as a defensive replacement at third base during the bottom of the ninth inning of Friday's win over the Twins.

Prior to the game, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reported that Chapman was slated to receive ongoing treatment during the early part of the game and would potentially be available off the bench late in the contest. That's precisely what came to pass, although the young slugger didn't log an at-bat when Liam Hendriks was able to slam the door for his seventh save. Considering he was healthy enough to make an appearance in the field Friday, it seems highly likely Chapman returns to the starting nine Saturday night as projected.

Davis will start in left field and bat seventh Saturday against the Giants, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Davis will make his fourth start in five games, including his third in left field over that stretch. His inclusion in the lineup Saturday may have at least partially been a byproduct of Dominic Smith botching an easy pop fly in the outfield in Friday's contest that allowed the Giants to score the game's only run. Davis won't provide much of a defensive upgrade in the outfield, but he's at least been capable at the plate when called upon this season, delivering a .280/.343/.454 slash line across 239 plate appearances.

Sosa was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Saturday.

Sosa was up for just four days. He made three appearances off the bench, going 1-for-3 at the plate. Reliever Ryan Helsley was recalled in a corresponding move.

Donaldson went 1-for-3 with two walks and an RBI in Friday's 4-3 win over the Nationals.

Donaldson came up clutch in the ninth inning for his first walkoff hit since 2015, as he drove in Ronald Acuna on a bases-loaded single to cap the Braves' come-from-behind triumph. The veteran has been on fire to begin the second half, slashing .320/.500/.800 with four home runs, 11 RBI, eight runs and a stolen base in eight contests.

Escobar went 2-for-5 with a home run, a triple and two RBI in Friday's 10-7 victory over the Brewers.

Escobar swatted a game-tying RBI triple in the third inning off Jhoulys Chacin, then launched a solo homer off Jay Jackson in the fourth inning to extend the Diamondbacks' lead to 8-4. The 30-year-old has been a key component in Arizona's lineup this season, slashing .291/.344/.554 with 22 home runs, 77 RBI and 63 runs scored.

Duffy (hamstring), who could be activated from the IL by the end of the weekend, will likely just play shortstop and third base for the remainder of the season, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Back in the spring, the Rays had considered using Duffy in the outfield in 2019, but that was prior to the injury bug striking him. At this point, the team is much more prone to keeping Duffy at the two positions he's most comfortable. With Yandy Diaz and Willy Adames both having solid seasons and Joey Wendle also healthy again, it remains to be seen how playing time will be distributed among the group once Duffy is activated.

McMahon went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Yankees.

McMahon delivered a solo blast to center field to get the Rockies on the board in the first inning, but the Yankees would take the lead in the third and never looked back. The 24-year-old has now left the yard in back-to-back contests, and he sits with 10 homers through 79 games this season.

LeMahieu went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Rockies.

LeMahieu knocked home a pair of insurance runs in this one, delivering an RBI single to left field in the fourth inning following by a fielder's choice in the sixth, which scored another. He's extended his hitting streak to six games, registering two extra-base hits and three RBI over that stretch.

Moncada went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Friday's win over the Rays.

Moncada drove home a run in the second inning with a double to right field, and he'd tack on an insurance run in the fourth inning on a single to left. The 24-year-old third baseman is now 10-for-33 since the All-Star break, and he's delivered back-to-back three-hit performances heading into the second matchup of the series Saturday.
