Riley went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Mets.

The rookie had been stuck in a 1-for-15 mini-slump with seven strikeouts before he took Jacob deGrom deep in the second inning. Riley is now slashing .274/.329/.580 through his first 41 big-league games with 13 homers and 36 RBI.

Burger (heel) may be able to return in time to see action in the AZL this season, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

He has not played in a game since 2017 due to multiple Achilles injuries. Playing in AZL games would be the equivalent of a rehab assignment for the 23-year-old third baseman. If he is unable to get back before the end of the AZL season, he may play in instructs.

Manager Rick Renteria said Moncada (knee) could be used in an emergency Friday, and could return to the lineup Saturday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Moncada was held out of Friday's lineup after fouling a ball off his knee in the White Sox's last game Wednesday, but based on his manager's comments, he does not appear to be facing any sort of extended absence.

Longoria is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, according to Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News.

Longoria will be held out in favor of Pablo Sandoval for the second time in three games. This has been a trend at the hot corner for the Giants of late, as including Friday's contest, both players will have started four times over an eight-game stretch.

Moncada (knee) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Twins.

Moncada was removed from Wednesday's game with a right knee bruise after a hit-by-pitch and will require more than Thursday's scheduled off day to recover. Jose Rondon is starting at third base in his absence Friday.

Ramirez was placed on the paternity list Friday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Ramirez will take the weekend to attend the birth of his child, while Yu Chang was called up from Triple-A Columbus and will start at third base Friday. Ramirez can spend up to three days on the paternity list and figures to rejoin the Indians on Tuesday in Kansas City.

Escobar entered Thursday's game in the sixth inning and went 1-for-2 with an RBI in a 5-1 win over the Giants.

Escobar started the day in Florida, where his two sons received their green cards, and was back in San Francisco in time for the game, but manager Torey Lovullo kept him out of the starting lineup. He's batting just .214 (12-for-56) with two extra-base hits over the last 16 games.

McMahon went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored during Thursday's 12-8 loss to the Dodgers.

McMahon singled and scored in the second inning before crushing a 479-foot home run to center field in the seventh. The impressive blast was even more notable considering that McMahon came in with just one hit in his previous 23 at-bats and hadn't hit a home run in his last 22 games. He will hope to draw some confidence from this effort but will face a tough matchup in the second game of the series against Hyun-Jin Ryu.

Muncy went 3-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI, three runs scored and a walk during Thursday's 12-8 win over the Rockies.

Muncy got on the board with a solo home run in the second inning and added a two-run shot in the seventh to complete his big game. He came in with just one hit in his last 12 at-bats, so perhaps a four-game set at Coors Field came at just the right time for the slugger. Muncy's OPS now sits at an impressive .932 for the season.

Segura went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Thursday against the Mets.

Segura took Edwin Diaz deep to deliver a walkoff homer, his 10th of the season. He feasted on Mets pitching during the four-game set, slugging three homers while driving in eight and scoring four runs. The power production is noteworthy, but Segura has just five stolen bases for the season after swiping at least 20 bases in every full season he's had in the major leagues.
