Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Alex Bregman: Qualifying offer extended by Astros
Houston extended a qualifying offer to Bregman on Monday.
Bregman will have until Nov. 19 to accept or reject the qualifying offer, but it's more likely that the 30-year-old third baseman will decline the offer and enter free agency. Bregman was named as a finalist for Silver Slugger Award for his 2024 regular-season performance, during which he slashed .260/.315/.453 with 30 doubles, 26 home runs and 75 RBI across 634 plate appearances.

Luis De Los Santos 3B | NYM
Mets' Luis De Los Santos: Goes to Mets via waivers
The Mets claimed De Los Santos off waivers from the Blue Jays on Monday, Michael Mayer of MetsmerizedOnline.com reports.
De Los Santos, 26, got a cup of coffee with the Blue Jays in 2024 but spent most of the season at Triple-A Buffalo, where he hit .260/.375/.441 with six homers over 43 games. He is capable of playing every infield position as well as left field.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: D-backs exercise option
The Diamondbacks exercised Suarez's $15 million club option for 2025 on Friday, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
Suarez reached the 30-HR and 100-RBI benchmarks while slashing .256/.319/.469 in his first season with the Diamondbacks. Now that he's officially locked in for the 2025 campaign, he'll almost certainly retain his everyday role at third base.

Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Luis Urias: Becomes free agent
Urias elected free agency Friday.
He cleared waivers after being removed from the Mariners' 40-man roster and has decided not to accept an outright assignment to the minors. Urias, 27, managed just a .191/.303/.394 slash line in 41 games with Seattle this season.

Armando Alvarez 3B | MIN
Athletics' Armando Alvarez: Dropped from 40-man
Alvarez cleared waivers Thursday and was sent outright to Triple-A Las Vegas.
The 30-year-old Alvarez posted a .967 OPS in Triple-A across 317 plate appearances in 2024 and reached the majors for the first time, going 9-for-37 with two RBI over 16 games. However, he no longer owns a spot on the Athletics' 40-man roster and will remain in Las Vegas as organizational depth.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
Yoan Moncada: Free agent after option declined
The White Sox declined Moncada's $25 million club option for 2025, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.
The veteran infielder will be given a $5 million buyout. It was an obvious move, given where the White Sox' roster stands and the fact that Moncada was limited to just 12 games in 2024 and 92 games in 2023 due to injury. Moncada won't turn 30 until May, but durability concerns and inconsistent production could point to a bearish market this winter.

Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: In cleanup spot again Wednesday
Chisholm will start at third base and bat cleanup Wednesday in Game 5 of the World Series versus the Dodgers.
Chisholm was moved up from the No. 5 spot to the No. 4 spot in the Yankees' Game 4 victory and manager Aaron Boone will keep him there for Game 5 after Chisholm reached twice and stole a base Tuesday. Giancarlo Stanton will hit fifth for the second straight contest.

Charles Leblanc 2B | ATL
Charles Leblanc: Becomes free agent
Leblanc elected free agency Monday.
The Angels booted Leblanc from their 40-man roster last week and because he had been outrighted before, he had the right to choose free agency and has done just that. Leblanc is a career .254/.330/.412 hitter over parts of two big-league seasons.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Yankees' Jon Berti: Battling hip injury
Manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Berti was left off the Yankees' World Series roster due to a right hip flexor injury, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The Yankees skipper noted that Berti's injury occurred while he was running the bases in Game 4 of the ALCS, and he would have been part of the roster had he not gotten hurt. Because of the utility man's absence, Nestor Cortes (elbow) will rejoin New York's roster to provide additional pitching depth for the World Series.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Will be World Series regular
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Hernandez will be in the lineup every day during the World Series, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
He's starting in center field and batting sixth in Game 1. His position may change from game to game, but Hernandez should remain in the Dodgers' lineup for each of the Fall Classic games. He's slashing .303/.378/.485 with two homers this postseason and has slugged 15 home runs over 81 career playoff contests.
