  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Three hits in return

Moncada (foot) went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 3-1 win over the Padres.

Moncada missed the last two games due to a bone bruise on his foot. The third baseman played the full game Friday and was effective from the No. 6 spot in the order. He put up six multi-hit efforts in 19 games in September, going 24-for-82 (.293) for the month. He's slashing just .218/.282/.364 with 12 home runs, 50 RBI, 40 runs scored and two stolen bases through 99 contests overall.

  • Diamondbacks' Buddy Kennedy: Back in majors

Kennedy was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Kennedy, who turns 24 on the final day of the regular season, slashed .261/.363/.385 with seven home runs in 93 games at Triple-A this season and has a .626 OPS through 80 at-bats in the majors. This is the corresponding move to Ketel Marte going on the injured list, so Kennedy could see time at second base over the final days of the season.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Angels' Matt Duffy: Not in Friday's lineup

Duffy isn't starting Friday against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Duffy started the last three games and went 3-for-10 with two runs, an RBI, a walk and two strikeouts. He'll get a breather while Luis Rengifo starts at the hot corner and leads off.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Returns to lineup Friday

Moncada (foot) is starting at third base and batting sixth Friday against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

After missing the last two games due to a bone bruise on the top of his foot, Moncada is officially good to go again. He will return to face Yu Darvish, whom he is 1-for-9 against in his career with four strikeouts.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Heads to bench Friday

Donaldson isn't starting Friday against the Orioles.

Donaldson started the last three games and went 1-for-13 with two runs, an RBI and eight strikeouts. DJ LeMahieu will start at third base and bat fifth after being reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Activated by Yankees

LeMahieu (toe) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

LeMahieu was trending toward a return Friday, and he'll officially be activated by the Yankees prior to Friday's series opener against the Orioles. Manager Aaron Boone said last week that LeMahieu is unlikely to be 100 percent healthy upon his return, but he should be available for the team's final few games of the regular season.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Heads to bench

Candelario will sit Thursday against the Twins.

Candelario has gone 8-for-20 with four doubles across his last six games, though that's only been enough to drag his season-long slash line up to .210/.267/.360. Harold Castro will start at third base Friday.

  • Matt Reynolds 3B | CIN

Reds' Matt Reynolds: Not starting Friday

Reynolds isn't in the lineup Friday against the Cubs.

Reynolds started six of the last seven games and went 4-for-17 with a double, an RBI, four walks and six strikeouts. He'll get a breather since Donovan Solano is starting at first base and batting fifth in his return to the lineup.

  • Abraham Toro 1B | BOS

Mariners' Abraham Toro: Logs second steal

Toro stole a base as a pinch runner in Thursday's 10-9 extra-innings win over the Rangers.

Toro swiped third base in the 10th inning but was stranded. It was just his second steal in 104 contests this season after he swiped six bags in 95 games last year 2021. The 25-year-old infielder has a .183/.238/.320 slash line with nine home runs, 30 RBI, 34 runs scored, 13 doubles and a triple, and he's into a reserve role since Eugenio Suarez returned from the injured list.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Doubles twice Thursday

Wisdom went 2-for-3 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI in Thursday's win over the Phillies.

Wisdom had two of his team's seven hits, leading the Cubs to a 2-0 victory. The infielder is batting just .212 this season with a strikeout rate of 33.7 percent, though he's provided decent fantasy value with 25 home runs, 27 doubles and 66 RBI across 130 games. This was his first multi-hit game since Aug. 14.
