Max Stassi C | SF
Astros' Max Stassi: Cranks three-run homer Saturday
Stassi went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Saturday's win over the Royals.
Stassi's sixth-inning homer off Danny Duffy busted the game open, putting the Astros up 7-2 while helping chase the southpaw. The backup catcher has now collected at least one hit in four straight games and is batting a solid .264/.336/.512 with seven homers through 40 games this season. If Stassi continues to produce in his limited opportunities, he could start to carve out a bigger role for himself at the expense of starter Brian McCann, who is hitting just .209/.299/.349 this season.

Yan Gomes C | CHC
Indians' Yan Gomes: Pops ninth homer Friday
Gomes went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Twins.
His ninth-inning solo blast didn't affect the outcome, but it did give Gomes nine homers on the year, including three in his last six games. The catcher has a strong .303/.378/.697 slash line through 10 contests in June and should continue to see the majority of playing time for Cleveland behind the plate.

Mitch Garver DH | SEA
Twins' Mitch Garver: Not in lineup Saturday
Garver is on the bench Saturday against Cleveland.
Garver has been the Twins' primary catcher since Jason Castro went down with season-ending knee surgery, though his fantasy value has been minimal, as he's hitting just .228 with a pair of homers in 41 games. Bobby Wilson, who starts Saturday, isn't much of a threat to take Garvers' job, however, as he's hitting a mere .157.

Carlos Perez C | HOU
Rangers' Carlos Perez: Not starting Saturday
Perez (ankle) is out of the lineup Saturday against the Rockies.
Perez left Friday's game with a right ankle sprain and was spotted following the game with a walking boot and crutches, though he hasn't yet been placed on the disabled list. Jose Trevino will get the start behind the plate Saturday.
-
James McCann C | ARI
Tigers' James McCann: Not starting Saturday
McCann is not in the lineup Saturday against the White Sox.
McCann is coming off a three-hit performance in the series opener Friday, though he's hitting an unremarkable .249/.303/.358 with four homers in 52 games. Grayson Greiner will get the nod behind the plate in his place.

Omar Narvaez C | HOU
White Sox's Omar Narvaez: Hits first homer
Narvaez went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Tigers.
Narvaez brought some life to the White Sox offense, which had done little against Mike Fiers until his sixth-inning homer, his first of the season. He returned to the lineup Friday after sitting out two straight games and has played just five of the last 13.

Carlos Perez C | HOU
Rangers' Carlos Perez: Wearing walking boot
Perez sprained his right ankle during Friday's loss to the Rockies and left the ballpark following the game wearing a walking boot and with crutches, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
That's not a good sign for the Rangers, who are dealing with a slew of injuries right now. If Perez lands on the disabled list, Jose Trevino, who filled in after Perez left Friday's game, will get more opportunities as the primary backup to Robinson Chirinos.

Carlos Perez C | HOU
Rangers' Carlos Perez: Leaves with right ankle sprain
Perez was forced to leave Friday's game against the Rockies with a right ankle sprain, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
Perez will be reevaluated Saturday, but the Rangers can't afford to be without a second catcher for long. X-rays were negative, but unless he heals significantly overnight, Perez is likely headed for the disabled list just so the Rangers can ensure they have a second catcher on hand for the next few days.

Matt Thaiss C | BOS
Angels' Matt Thaiss: Hits temporary inactive list
Thaiss was placed on the temporary inactive list at Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.
The reason behind Thaiss' absence is unclear, nor is it known when the Angels expect him to rejoin the Triple-A affiliate. The temporary hiatus comes in the midst of a hot stretch at the plate for the first baseman, who had racked up five extra-base hits as part of a 13-for-32 (.406) showing over the previous seven contests. Thaiss is slashing a healthy .338/.376/.600 while striking out only 11 times in 85 plate appearances (12.9 percent) since earning a promotion to the Pacific Coast League in late May.
